V1 Open-Top Litter Box Starter Kit, Includes 56ct Disposable Sifting Liners, Plastic Cardboard Box

It seems like cardboard at first but it’s really corrugated plastic. When I put it together I thought it seemed awfully light weight, which it is, but it is structurally sound and easy to clean. Best part - it works. The liners are a stack of 15 and you just take one off at a time, let dirty litter sift through and remove it. Add more litter back, flatten it out into the corners and put the lid back on. I’ve tried at least 4 other varieties of litter boxes and this is by far the fastest, easiest version.

Where has this been all my life???? What used to be a 10-minute job now takes 10 seconds. Literally. This system is so smart, well made, and easy to use it's crazy NOT to get it. I found the video very helpful in setting it up. The instructions were fantastic and it came together quickly. I have two cats with claws. They haven't perforated through a single liner. I was really surprised by how thick and nice the plastic was on the liners, it's not like a thin grocery bag. I bought one box to try it to see if my cats liked it.( I tried the Breeze litter system and neither one of my cats even set foot in it. ) They like this new litter box so much, our one cat has completely stopped it's inappropriate elimination habit (after we tried everything, even medication.) So clearly, this box is doing something right. As mentioned, I can literally clean the litter box IN SECONDS. No more crouching, no more scooping, no more fumbling to get the clumps in a bag. This has also really improved the odor. Because you're using fresh liners, the plastic litter box itself isn't caked with clumps absorbing those foul smells. It's also way easier to completely change out the litter. I don't have to try and carry a big heavy litter box up and down the stairs to dump it. The last bag is geniusly solid and I just carry the old litter out. I also really appreciate how they have eco-friendly bags. I literally could not rate this more highly.(Also, as I have tried every litter on the planet to help my aforementioned cat's occasional aversion to litter boxes, and THE BEST LITTER EVER is Arm and Hammer Cloud Control Litter. Get it!!!)If you wavering about this at all just buy it and start loving your new litter life. I felt like the cost seemed high, and I was iffy about it- but trust me it is completely worth it. This is a really quality product, and I could not be happier with it. I bought a second one and will probably be buying a third one soon. (They say you should have one litter box per cat, plus one extra)Also, the size is really nice. What can I say, we're lazy. We don't like cleaning the cat box, and so, put it off long past when it should have been done. This box is so easy to clean that we're starting to act like responsible cat parents! The cat is happy, we're happy; life is good.The Speedy Sift works as advertised. We are thrilled with the results. If your cat is a vigorous scratcher like ours, I would opt for the enclosed box instead of the tall one. Is it pretty? Not so much. It's functional though, and that's what matters most to us. I've seen reviews that state that the liners are too thin but I haven't had any issues. My cat pees a lot so there's usually a really large clump but this hasn't been an issue either.It's surprisingly sturdy for what it is and was easy to put together. We originally had a tall, open-top model but ended up purchasing the enclosed top piece to convert it. It was nice that I could buy that piece from the Speedy Sift website rather than having to purchase a whole setup again. Other than the fact that we are cleaning the box much more often, it does nothing to curb the smells. Fortunately, the choice of litter can alleviate that issue. I've found it to be quite clean. The way the top fits over the pan keeps the litter from scattering when my cat digs. My cat also took to it right away, and with no issues.

UPDATE: This is several years later and I have more cats... so I purchased more Speedysifts. I've read the negative reviews of the Speedy Swift and I can tell these bad reviews are from people that aren't reading the description, or, people who don't know their cats.First, this box is made of plastic, not cardboard. It is VERY sturdy as my 11lb cat has been using one of them for 4 years now, and it looks as good as my newer ones. I can wash this down, let it dry, and it looks like new.The sifter liners: If your cat is a huge digger no sifter liner is going to stop him from tearing through it, so a sifter liner box isn't for you. Also, a sifter liner has HOLES in it so it can SIFT, so yes, you will need another bag to put it in. Did you not understand that before purchasing?I now have 5 cats. I have 6 litter boxes. 4 are SpeedySifts and 2 are normal sifter boxes (no liners). Normal sifter boxes are fine, but I have to deep clean them at least once a month and it's a pain. With the SpeedySifts, the messes, and eventually all the litter, go out in the bags, so I rarely need to deep clean.To use the SpeedySift: The box itself takes only a few minutes to put together. Place the liners in the box and put the top on snuggly so the liners can't move. You can tuck the edges of the liners under the rim of the top if you don't want the edges showing. When you sift, lift the top off the bottom of the box, take one sheet of the liner (I will usually wet my fingers on the way to the box to be sure I only take one liner), gather it together at the top, and gently tilt from side to side until all the clean letter has run through the liner and all the waste has been captured. Place in another bag and dispose.It literally takes a minute. The last liner isn't a sifter and you just lift and dispose of the 2 week old litter.All of my cats use these boxes and none have ripped the liners. I guess none are huge diggers, but they all certainly bury their waste, but they don't tear the liners.I can't recommend this box highly enough. It makes cleaning 6 boxes every day take less than 15 minutes instead of having to scrape and scoop all of them. Anyone that says anything different is not reading the description and is expecting something else, or has a real digger of a cat!For anyone that wants to take as little time cleaning the litter box as possible, you need to try this!I only have one cat (2 litter boxes), but I still don't enjoy having to clean them. WIth this system you simply lift the liner and let the clean litter fall through. It takes less than a minute! No littler shovels and no digging through the litter looking for "treasures"!Keep in mind it's more costly than standard litter boxes because of the liners, so if cost is a big factor for you, this is not the litter box for you.
