I was going to throw the pressure washer away, but decided to try this Replacement Plug as a last ditch effort. Took some looking but found this two-wire model. Two screws on old plug to open it, two screws to remove the wires, two screws for the clamp. Two screws on the Replacement Plug to open it, two screws to attach the wires, two screws for a replacement clamp. Reused the old weather seal, although Replacement Plug came with three different new ones. Big PLUS #1 - Plugged into wall and pressure washer started like new. Big PLUS #2 - Instead of the whole Replacement Plug plugging in to the outlet (weatherproof outlets don't fit flush to the wall, but have doors and covers and such, making this a touchy job), this one has a short dongle which plugs into the outlet perfectly. I purchased a sun joe power washer about three years ago to replace my old one. But and after just one use it stopped working. So got the old one out. Even my handy son in law had no idea what was wrong. Then this year I saw plenty of posts the plug was bad. Could it be? I was at try this or just throw it out and live with the old one. So I went for it. The instructions are short and sweet. The screws on the sun joe were so tight couldn’t budge them free. I thought what the heck. This will either work or I am throwing it out. So I cut off the old one. Stripped the wires. Attached this and that. Screwed the top on. Time to run the test and figured it came down to this will work or not and send it back, keep using the sad but working old washer, or get zapped. Nervously I plugged it in and followed the directions for the test. It worked. Really? Hooked up the water and bam. Works great. Have a Sun Joe power washer that won’t work. Change the plug.
