I received the book when I was a bit under the weather. I read through the exercises and decided I would bypass the beginner stage and move into intermediate exercises. It took me less than a minute to realize I needed to change my plan. (Start at beginner) The book is laid out well and the pictures with captions show you how to do the plank and pitfalls to watch out for.

Best fitness book I've ever owned!
As a yoga instructor, I find this book to be a fantastic tool for incorporating core work into my sequences. Jen has broken down each pose with clear, thoughtful guidance -- providing pose benefits, things to avoid, ways to modify, and sample workouts. The photos are fantastic (the enviable bods of the models attest to the validity and success of Jen's exercises!), and the format is clean and user-friendly. I never knew there could be so many variations of a plank pose -- wow!!! The creativity, fun, and core challenges provided throughout this book are unique and inspiring -- best money I've spent on a fitness book, ever!

Great illustrations!
This book shows a great variety of planks that make it easy to put together a daily routine. The pictures are very clear, not small and dark like in some books. They show the right technique in detail. The book has also a section on planks in combination with a fitness ball. All in all, a great buy!

Fantastic! So many planks!
Lots of variety. I had a TFCC injury of my wrist and this book has many plank variations so that I can be on my elbows. They aren’t kidding that planks can raise your heart rate like cardio. I did a few variations and was sweating profusely. Options from beginner to advanced. I am starting to get a 6 pack never had one before & I am an older woman.

I was doing situps til I heard it wasn't a good idea and liked the cover of this book decided to purchase and I'm glad I did because I have enough fully explained exercises and workouts for planks explained in detail.

So many options for a stronger core
Ultimate Plank Fitness is a fantastic, comprehensive guide to core strength. The wide range of exercises provided in this book would enhance any fitness library. The pre-planned workouts at the end are quick and effective (my abs were sore after I tried the level 1 workout, and I am in pretty good shape) and so many of the planks can be performed at home. The addition of options using equipment really increases the variety and intensity factor. The combination of photography and explanations for each exercise makes the book appropriate for beginners and fitness professionals alike.

Ultimate Plank Fitness: For a Strong Core,...
Finally found my ultimate fitness book. I could (just) do the initial exercises, and a month of daily practice on they are becoming easy, and I can see muscle definition!!! so I am gradually exploring book to add to my repertoire. Picture are very clear, suggestions and hints realistic and helpful. For the first time in my life I can actually do a few press ups, as my core muscles are finally working together.

Excellent easy to understand with clear pictures
Excellent book would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a book with very good clear pictures and good explanations of how to perform each exercise and gives a list of common faults of what not to do which is very useful. It is the book that you can easily find the exercises you wish to do rather than having to read through loads of technical notes that, for the non professional like me, are difficult to understand anyway.Well worth buying

This is a really good book with some very demanding plank exercises - if you can only do the first few that's enough - but if you could master the whole range it would be wonderful. Progessive exercising will do the trick
