Good scope for what I'm using it for.
I did not buy this to use as a tracking scope but to use with my C90 to take photos of the Sun, Moon, and objects such as the Pleiades, & Orion's nebula. With a much shorter focal length than the C90 it gives less magnification and a wider field of view than my C90. It is well made, well packaged and I think it is a very good deal for the price. It can also be used with a 2x Barlow or a .5 focal reducer, and also as a finder scope.

Took a chance and I'm pleased with this guide scope
I looked at the listing carefully and decided this was the same scope made for other companies, but at a lower cost. Curiously it has the same model number as a 50mm finder, so I wasn't sure I was going to receive a 60, but I did. I mounted it to my Celestron 8SE to be used as an autoguider as shown in the photo It is actually a bit longer than I expected, but fits the 8SE well after I added a second vixen bar to give it plenty of support. I didn't use the narrow dovetail that came with the scope, however it is well made. so I may reuse that for another purpose. Instead I mounted the rings onto an extra pair of clamps I had. The optical quality is very nice. No visible aberrations or distortions from edge to edge, and the image is nice and bright with crisp contrast. I do see a purplish colored coating on the objective, so it may have an antireflection coating of some kind. I may need to tweak the focuser once I attach the camera, but for just using an eyepiece, everything works well and is smooth without being overly loose or overly tight. The only thing I didn't care for were the six inexpensive screws used to center the scope in the rings. They seem to be cast aluminum and not machined in any way. I may clean them up later with a die cutter. I also will add some lock nuts before my final alignment with the main scope, just to keep everything aligned and tight. So overall, I'm happy with the purchase and I think Svbony needs to be considered when choosing products of this type.

Good guide scope
Excellent guide scope. It was very easy to focus and the guiding accuracy is fantastic.

Good scope, great price
Scope is well constructed, currently using as a finderscope, objects are much brighter than the default 30mm finderscope that my telescope came with. Note that the scope as straight thru for eyepiece only, I could not get it to focus with a star diagonal. The scope also gives me flexibility to use it as a guidescope in the future. The focusing system is precise but I found the dual focusing to be a bit tedious and focus locks do not work that well, I could still adjust the focus after tightening down the focusing lock screws. In all, a great scope, great value, good versatility.

Clear views - solid construction - great price
I use this as a finder scope upgrade for my 130mm Newtonian. This is designed for a 1.25" eyepiece (not included), and has no crosshairs (reticle). To gain the crosshair function I added an SVBony sv152 illuminated reticle eyepiece. The 20mm sv152 combined with 240mm focal length sv106, make this a 12x magnification finder scope. It is overkill for most. I wear eyeglasses due to astigmatism and the original 6x30 finder scope was borderline useless. I read product questions before buying and was aware there are two focusing actions. The tube that is locked in place with set screws moves in and out of the main optical tube for a course focus. It is marked, so you can easily reset it. The helical ring rotates to deliver the fine focus. It delivers a very sharp image. The image is reversed, just as it is in my Newtonian telescope. For terrestrial views an erecting eyepiece may function to deliver a correct image, but I can't attest to that due to not owning that type. This is solid! It is hefty, too. My equatorial mount, operates different with the weight of this and the sv102 added to the telescope. I may leave this on the current scope, but I also foresee this as something worthy of a transfer to my next telescope upgrade. I bought this during a hot deal sale, but I was studying it for a few days and was ready to buy it at normal pricing.

You can't beat the value. Sharp optics, great focuser.
This finder/guidescope is an excellent product for the price. The optics are very sharp, and the focuser is excellent. Other reviews state the draw tube part of the focuser is loose, and that is not true in my experience. The rough-focus drawtube is very solid when the adjustment screw is tightened down, and the helical focuser allows extremely precise focusing. Another review stated the focuser doesn't have enough travel to accomodate the popular ASI120 guidecamera, and that is also false. The drawtube allows enough backfocus to easily accomodate my ASI120 without any extension tubes. Buy with confidence, this product is an excellent value. I will be selling a significantly more expensive Orion guidescope that doesn't have enough backfocus to accomodate my ASI120 guiding camera in favor of this one.

Works Well...With an Important Exception
I purchased the SVBONY 106 finderscope to replace a very old Celestron right angle finderscope on my ancient Celestron C8. That unit does not have a replaceable eyepiece which is inconvenient. The SVBONY has both a non-rotating, helical focuser and a retractable tube that gives it a wide range of focusing capabilities. I can use it with a star diagonal, 1.25" eyepiece or CMOS camera without issue. I was able to adapt the mounting circles that it came with to my existing dovetail, eliminating a potential "hiccup". I appreciated the silicone rubber tipped screws for alignment too. While not the smoothest threads and focuser, they do the job adequately and securely. And the price cannot be beaten. Since I wrote this review I discovered that the design does not permit the use of a right angle diagonal. I bought and extra diagonal and eyepiece so I could convert the finderscope for those situations where a right angle would be more convenient. Using the straight, linear arrangement the finderscope helical and sliding tube are sufficient to achieve focus, but with the diagonal the scope tube cannot be reduced sufficiently for proper focus. I have written to SVBONY about this. if there is some change I can make to have this arrangement work, I will edit the review once more. For now I'm removing a star.

Well priced complete guide scope can be used as a quick grab and go mini telescope. Not the sharpest images but great for quick snaps while doing visual astronimy. At 260mm Focal length good image magnicication \ field of view. Can be used to align target for Visual Astronomy.

Very happy with this scope. I've used this as main scope with ZWO ASI224MC camera and done DSO Astrophotography. It is quite capable of producing sharp images. My images attached are done by Live Stacking. No flat or dark frames used.
