It's amazing and I love it!
All other American pencil sharpeners make the pencil too pointy and causes it to break. Then you are left scribbling with it just to dull it back down so you can continue writing. This sharpener when adjusted it to the (1) setting, allows you to be more precise with your lettering. This pencil sharpener is amazing for the price. If your a pencil user like myself this paired with the Ticonderoga black pencils will make you enjoy writing again! Don't look any further buy this amazing device (Not a paid ad)

The best for colored pencils
Best sharpener I’ve tried so far for expensive colored pencils. It’s a perfect fit for your typical size pencil (decreases wobbling or one-sided sharpening), has 5 lengths to choose from, and is small and light but sturdy. It’s also less expensive than all the other sharpeners I have. You will have to replace it after quite a bit of use, but that’s the case with all sharpeners.

Yes perfect sharpener - haven’t used a better one, does not break the lead or damage the wood
King of sharpeners. Would be even awesome if it could accept bigger pencil. The material is solid plastic. The shaving container can take in enough shavings. Color is Smokey, I guess you’d be fine getting the transparent as well. It’s compatible with 95 percent of pencils, but very big pencils will not fit, for example luminance caran fits but it’s slightly thicker and scratches the top of the pencil, but sharpens it just Beautiful. It’s versatile in terms of the sizes of sharpening, like it can make it a top large sharpened or give your a smaller tip.

My search is over!
My quest for the perfect handheld sharpener for my beloved Prismacolors FINALLY has ended.. I'm so grateful to have found this!! No joke i have a small bin of every type of handheld sharpener out there that I collected during my hunt for the perfect sharpener that won't break my Prismacolors but still sharpens them perfectly without breaking off the point or crack the whole barrel and lead! I tried the little simple metal ones, ones made for kids crayons and even bought eyeliner sharpeners for makeup in my desperation. This sharpener has 5 different settings that enables you to choose how long of a point you need or want. Also it works just as good for hard oil based pencils such as delis and polys too. It makes a crazy long sharp point on the polys at setting number 5. For soft pencils like Prismacolor setting number 2 is perfect! I don't like the noise, dust, mess and bulky space of hand crank or electric sharpeners. I had my first t gal for a whole year of very intensive use before I had to replace it with a new one. My only complaint is that the little door to close the hole of the opening of the sharpener stopped closing all the way at the end. But I think that was my fault for being lazy and not emptying out the chamber when it got full. I do that alot and "forget" to empty out the shavings. One essential art tool I couldn't be without. However brutfuner squares and Derwent inktense are a tad too big to fit in the hole to sharpen. But seriously if your still looking for the perfect Prismacolor sharpener look no further!

Works for most of my artist color pencils
Great sharpener and love the adjustability. Doesn’t work for my Faber-Castel-Albrecht Durer watercolor pencils (they are 6-sided and don’t fit) . Works great for Derwent water color pencils, Blackwing, Inktense is snug but fits, CaranDAche also snug but fits.

A DEFINITE MUST HAVE for Colored Pencils
The T'Gaal pencil sharpener is the ONLY one that offers five different options for how sharp your pencil points come out just by turning the dial. This sharpener is gentle on the leads of colored pencils (especially Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils). Because of this, you won't have a huge problem with lead breakage whenever you sharpen your colored pencils. The plastic material that this sharpener is made of seems to be amazingly strong. (I once accidentally dropped mine and it didn't even break)! The only downside to this pencil sharpener is that it needs to be emptied quite often because the housing for the pencil shavings is SO small. The T'gaal Multisharpener IS an expensive sharpener, BUT if you want a sharpener that won't break your expensive colored pencil leads, then this sharpener is the right one to buy. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!!!

Good for colored pencils
I bought the clear colored pencil sharpener for sharpening my colored pencils and it works great. I used them on Faber Castell and Prismacolors and both were able to get very sharp with minimal breakage. I would suggest for artists to not sharpen them too much because there will be some breakage at that point. The toggle to change the angle of sharpness comes in handy for that purpose. The opening to empty the pencil sharpener may be slightly difficult to use for those with mobility issues (I injured my thumb so I can’t do it smoothly) but I was able to get it open. The green color pencil is one I didn't sharpen, and the other pencils were sharpened using this sharpener. The red pencil’s wood was damaged a while ago and I was never able to sharpen it with anything else without the wood splitting even further but this sharpener works!
