Comparison of three turtle stepping stones
The media could not be loaded. This year I decided to decorate my garden with turtle stepping stones. So far my collection consists of three different turtles. I am posting a review of each of them, along with comparison between the three.I am including a collage of 5 photos number 1 through 5 under customer photos that I will be referencing in this review.Iron Verdigris Garden Turtle Stepping Stone (ASIN: B003FO0L6G) is the third favorite in my collection. Photo #1 shows the underbelly of the stepping stone. Photo #2 shows the stepping stone top. The turtle shell has a stylized design. It is 3.9 pounds and is the lightest of my stepping stones. It tends to warble due the shallow shape of the bottom and light weight. I also like its color less than the other two turtle stepping stones. This is my third favorite stepping stone (still good, just third in the pecking order).Photo #3 shows the stepping stone in my garden. It tends to warble in the spot where Sunset Vista Designs turtle sits like a solid rock. So I have it placed on the flattest least challenging location on the path.Photo #4 shows the stepping stone on the digital scale, coming in at 3.9 pounds ( a little heavier than the official description, but not as heavy as my other cast iron stepping stones).Photo #5 show all three stepping stones. My favorite turtle stepping stone is Sunset Vista Designs Cast Iron Turtle Garden Stepping Stone (ASIN: B004Q9SJUE). I think it is the prettiest of them all. In addition it is a very substantial stepping stone weighting in over 5 pounds. Due it its weight and a nice construction it does not warble on the ground no matter where you put it.My third stepping stone is Midwest-CBK Turtle stepping stone (ASIN: B008FWKBA4). Rather than being one solid piece of cast iron it is made out of multiple smaller turtles with open spaces between them. It is a pretty design and is solidly built but when soil and water come through the open spaces it gets a bit dirty and slippery. I rank it second in my favorite list.I love my turtle stepping stones path. It makes me smile when I putter in my garden.Ali Julia reviewUpdate: (April 2016, 3.5 years later) The multi-turtle stepping stone has become rusted and I moved into a less noticeable area as it does not look as nice as the others. The others are rust free and still look as good as when I got them.

Rusted quickly
I bought these 2 turtles for my garden at the same time. Within a few weeks one is now rusting, not sure if it’s a defect as the other one is fine. Very cute & sturdy stepping stones for my garden otherwise.

Very pretty...
Very pretty stepping stone. I'm putting some stepping stones in an garden bed where I put food for feral kitties under a window ledge so I don't get mud/dust all over the place. I had some I had made years ago, some irregular paving stones and some I'm making and purchasing ready made now like this turtle. My only complaint is this seems smaller than I expected. I would like one really big one. I also ordered the mosaic flip flop kit and another custom memorial stone for my wizberry. I will add picks when the garden is done. I simply dig them in to the ground with no cement/paving so I plan to put coconut liner down to stop them from getting all muddy and dusty when it rains. I hope this one holds up over time.Updated to add pics.. the turtle stepping stone was not dug in like the others. I also put some of the irregular venetian stepping stones from home depot here- I dug them in here but I noticed in the back of the house I put some of those on the ground meaning to dig them in and left them there over the winter. They eventually settled and don't move with the added bonus that they don't get as dusty as the ones you dig in and don't need swept. I suppose putting cement down first is the ideal way to do it but I can't physically do that.

Sturdy Turtles
These turtle stepping stones blend in nicely with the garden. Additionally, they serve a purpose as to where to walk and not walk. I am hopeful they will survive the elements and last a long time. I am always on the lookout for the best price, as I have seen them priced higher than what I would like to pay.

Nice, but fragile.
This is a nicely done item. However, I would not suggest using it as an actual stepping stone. I bought two of these a year and a half ago, to be used on a mulched path. I coated them with a clear sealant first because everything metal rusts/corrodes here in FL. They have held up fairly well....but they are too thin to be walked on, and the heads and legs have broken off.

Stepping stones are attractive and won’t break.
I’ve now bought 6 of these stepping stones for a path in the yard. They are not only very attractive but sturdy - they hold up well when walked on all the time.

Multi Use
Seems I frequently use stuff for other purposes than what it was intended...I live on the Colorado Plateau and use these (I ordered two) to anchor outdoor rugs during gusty winds. And they're perfect. Heavy enough to keep things in place. Attractive as well. The verdigris color blends well with my patio color scheme. Although mine don't get walked on, I'm sure they would provide a wonderful stepping stone path.
