A strange, unusual and very interesting book of weird tales, which are claimed to be true.
I could not resist purchasing this giant 506 page strange book. The Mammoth Book of Weird but True stories is the kind of book that has something for every interest. Many of the stories are hilarious and you will find yourself laughing as you read these tall tales. Most of the material is very amusing and sometimes informative. This is the kind of book you do not have to read from page one like a novel or text book. Look at the table of contents and pick out the topics that interest you first and move on to the rest of the book.This tomb is organized into seventeen sections: The first section is Animal Crackers, which has funny animal related stories. The second is Sex Matters, no explanation required. The remainder of the sections include the following: artistic pursuits, for better or for worse, in sickness and in health, till death us do part, sports crazy, baffled by technology, law and disorder, the world of politics, flashes of inspiration, at work and play, rocky relationships, eat, drink and be weird, unforgettable journeys, accidents will happen and that's life.In conclusion, if you enjoy wild and wacky stories in which truth is always stranger than fiction, you will like this book. Book is so so. I am not sure exactly what I was expecting but it was not the way this book is wrote. (I think I was expecting more explanations on the weird but true stories (like how/why the tree swallowed the bike). Not just two line stories)).

The incidents are weird, but true? Most of them take place outside of the USA in some obscure place. Even if they are true, it's just not that interesting. I usually like books like this but this one was dissapointing

another book of facts that I just find very interesting and just added to my personal knowledge I would rather know these than read a book that is just a fantasy

M 12 year old daughter can spend hours reading these books and looking at the pictures. These books make a great gift for anyone who loves to learn cool and weird facts.
