How do you use this stuff?

I put granules on a paper plate, put a piece of food (meat/gravy) to attract the fly. The food will lure the fly to the bait and tada…fly dies. It works all the time. This is great stuff!!

Is this stuff blue colored crystals? I was recommended to get the fly bait that is blue crystals.

It is blue tiny pellets. Really kills flies. Put it out with couple of water drops to disovle the bet somewhat. With time it will attract flies. The ones that nibble at it will die. Leave the dead flies in the bet container, add more pellets over them, the result is amazing. You will be happy with your choice to buy this product.

Is it as effective for biting flies like horse and deer flies?

I would say no. It works great for normal flies. The main reason the horse and deer flies are blood suckers this bait will not work
