Yes, I have an iPhone 4 and it works flawlessly. I also have a mini iPad and an iPad and those work jus fine as well.

yes it does, although they had less ink than the normal than the ones you would buy, but quite enough for getting started...I love this printer, only down for me is the fact that it doesn't print legal size paper....

If you are getting rid of your internet service--and are asking whether you will be able to print from your iPad Mini to the Envy 120 using the Mini's 3G only--the answer is yes. It works just fine.

can you continue to print with black ink only if the color runs out?

Apparently so. I just had the color run very low. In fact, the color red was completely out. The printer didn't care. It continued to print with the colors it had. I did not try to operate the printer with the color cartridge removed.
