That is how regular lightbulbs work in the car. When the OBC detects an interruption in the flow or LOW CURRENT DRAW, it triggers the message on the OBC. On a different note, these looked fantastic on my old SUV! I loved them! I went with the clear finish instead of the smoke. I just loved the way they looked at night.
