You should be able to measure the outside if you bought it or the best bet Is to buy the jig it has to be 1 1/4 " deepother than that just use a caliper or trace a hole the top plate will cover any small mistake. But but the jig its 16 dollars.

Anyone know it it will mount flush on an acoustic because of the slight curve of the body of guitar

probably not....it is meant to mount to a flat surface so you will need to find a flat spot on your acoustic to mount this or find a curved box
