These are absolutely the best chaps that you can get for weed trimming and other similar work. They are light weight (not for chainsaw use), well constructed, easy on, easy off and they do a great job at protecting from flying stones and sticks. And they keep your clothes clean! I had a pair that I purchased several years ago when I first discovered them and had they not been commandeered by one of my adult children I'd still be using them. Recently purchased a new pair. Same quality as the first. I also buy these same chaps for my outdoor crew at work. There they get used almost daily from June through September. So far not a single problem. These are the best!

Great protection! I’m female, 5”4 and it fits perfectly. The only thing I don’t like is the 2 belt buckles that hook up behind each upper leg. I have thicker legs so it’s uncomfortable. I don’t. Use those straps and they work just as good without them. I used the pants a few times before I washed it and it washed really well in “gentle” cycle by itself. The pants is thick and does its job when I’m weed eating or pressure washing. The front pocket is pretty tight and hard to get my phone in due to the flap that goes over the pocket, but otherwise it does its job.

These chaps made me feel invincible while working in a field of thistles! Yes, they are entirely open in the butt and therefore provide no protection if you sit or back up into spiky plants. But they really did the job and kept me prickle-free while being surrounded by prickles for hours of field work! Plus, they are a fun high visibility color, AND they have a front pocket. They are easy to put on with zippers down the calves, and an adjustable belt strap. I like that they fully protect your calves, not just your shins. I was surprised at how well they fit me at 5'4". If you're much taller, they might land a little too high above your ankles.

I use this regularly to weed whack my yard. It fits and looks good. The high visibility color works great for roadside yard work.

As they state on the package, these are intended for line trimming and not for chainsaw protection. Once adjusted they do exactly what they were intended to do. They protect you from your waist to your feet from flying grass, sharp berry bush debris, insects and keep your pants from being loaded up with grass. Here, the ticks are ferocious, so if you have the same problem, spray these with insect repellent. They are very durable and easy to get on and off after first adjustments. Worth every penny I paid for them and I should have considered this many years ago.

I am 6’1” tall and these things left about 6 inches of the bottom of my pants exposed. Wish they were a little longer. Other than that they are great. I didn’t think about it before, but some gnats are attracted to the bright yellow color. I might choose a different color in the future.

So this product is well made but for the very short, small hipped people of munchkinland.
