Elasto Gel Hot/Cold Wrap,foot and Ankle Wrap

I am very pleased with this product. I purchased two based on a positive experience with the eye mask made by the same manufacturer. I have weak ankles and sprains occur. I bought these to keep in the freezer to be ready to go for even a minor twist. The cold lasts about 20 minutes, which is perfect (too much cold for too long actually damages tissue). With two, I can treat with cold for 20 minutes and then again after an hour immediately after injury occurs. I can alternate with the two for several hours. Later on, I will be able to alternate hot and cold treatment by leaving one out to microwave. This will be particularly useful to warm it up prior to exercises and cool it down afterwards. In the meantime, I have another use for them. I have some circulation issues, which means that my feet get cold in the winter and hot in the summer. This affects my ability to fall asleep. Socks work in the winter, but cooling off in the summer is more difficult. Even running cool water over them does not last. Now, when my feet feel really hot, I put these on until they come to room temperature. This cools my feet enough that it lasts for quite a while and I am able to go to sleep. This works also when my feet and ankles swell after being on my feet for a few hours in the kitchen. I sit down with my feet up wrapped in these, the eye mask on, and enjoy a drink before eating dinner.

I really like this product. I was able to keep it on for 15-20 minutes after I did some exercises for my feet and it kept the parts that I needed to keep cool, cool. I did wear some thin socks (some ankle compression socks, but any sock will do), because it was too cold for me initially. It lasted the coolness for the 15-20 minutes. The ice element is evenly distributed, it's like a slightly weighted blanket. The way to mold it to your foot is when you wrap it. It will take me a bit of practice to get used to how to actually wrap how I really want to wrap it. Let me describe it. When it's not on your foot and in the bag that you are supposed to keep it in when you freeze it, it looks like....probably best way to describe is like a Christmas Stocking. When you put your foot in it it has a seam line down the middle back (like a Xmas Stocking would) so it's not like it's a "blanket" wrap - it is shaped like a boot/stocking. The material is VERY soft, it's a bit weighted, and the velcro wrap is a great length and stays on. It felt very good. I have tried a few things for icing my feet (I have certain areas that need icing and it's hard to get them all at once, and this did it for me (I have to ice the right exterior, my posterior tibial tendon and also the bottom of my foot - I was able to get it on all these areas in one use:) I do recommend this!

This is the most effective genuis way to ice an ankle. Unfortunately I have had several fractures and using ice had always been uncomfortable. Its either too hard, doesn't fit or conform to the affected area right, fall off the area, leaks, pinholes somehow sometimes are on the outside, strings that come loose or it falls after tied, too big, too small, or takes up too much space in the freezer. So many different types of ice packs that just dont work for me. This one is perfect. It freezes quickly so you can use it several times throughout the day. Takes very little freezer space because it lays flat. VERY soft, great fit for any size foot, long enough strap to wrap around, freezes quick, lasts 30+ min for me, cold enough to feel & do the job but not freeze your foot where you want to remove it earlier than what you need. Fits well above your ankle as well You can even use it on your elbow if you get creative with the strap. It feels so good and is very comfortable you can move around the couch or wherever you are sitting, laying, the strap holds great. You can put it in the microwave as well if you need a heat instead of ice. Be sure to keep it in the plastic bag it comes in when you freeze it. Its a sturdy plastic ziploc type of bag. I will be getting another one for my other foot.

I just got this yesterday and WOW! I'm buying another for my other foot today. I have chronic plantar fasciitis which has been nothing but debilitating. I must use Phiten kinesthetic athletic tape on my feet just to be able to walk, the normal kinesthetic tape isn't effective as it doesn't have the titanium weaved into the fabric to aid in muscle tension relief. I use balls with deep pressure to break up the scar tissue, I have used heating pads, ice packs, splints, compression socks, 3 different ankle braces, I hang from steps multiple times a day for minutes at a time and nothing has given me the immediate relief which this has. I heated it up twice in the microwave and slept in it. It does not advise this but I was extremely tired and the brace is very comfortable and squishy. My foot was kept in an upright position (nearly flexed fully without a lot of tension) and warm. When I woke up my foot wasn't sore from being in the brace all night, not circulation was cut off and I was still very comfortable. Then came the dreaded start of the day... I had to take that first step and walk on my feet. My feet hurt ALL the time, not just the morning. I carefully stepped out of bed and stood trying to get my feet ready to take another step. The one foot I had in the wrap felt incredibly better than the other. I was able to walk with a more normal gate than usual for morning time. If I see that much of a change in one night, I'm sold! The pain is excruciating leading to a sedentary lifestyle, one of which I don't welcome. As heat promotes the blood flow to the scarred ligament and the wrap simply keeps it warmer than the rest of your body with the heavy gel material swaddling your foot, I truly believe this will promote healing and I may get to a normal life within a year. This would also be very helpful for achilles tendinitis as ligaments naturally get less blood flow and take much longer to heal.

It is crazy how hard it is to find a good ice pack. I developed achilles tendonitis in both of my feet from running and needed an ice pack that would cover my achilles and my heel in one swoop. Looking in stores proved unsuccessful as there was nothing specifically for the foot and ankle and there is really not a lot out there on the internet either. I purchased this ice pack because Amazon seemed to have the most choices available for foot-specific ice wraps or packs and this one in particular had the most good reviews. After using this for a few weeks I can say that it does do the job. You have to use the velcro strap to tighten the ice wrap around your foot. I strap it down around the area's I am trying to focus the icing on to keep the ice wrap snug against those parts of my foot. A lot of people complain about how long the ice wrap stays cold for. I can sit around for a good hour and feel the coldness on my feet from the wrap but keep in mind, when icing an injury you are really only supposed to ice for 15-20 minutes and this wrap definitely stays cold for longer than that. Also, it is floppy so it's easy to fold it up and it fits nicely in the freezer and doesn't take up a lot of space, unlike other raps or packs that can be very rigid. Based on how hard it is to find a ice wrap that is foot specific and the benefits of this wrap that I have mentioned here, I would recommend this wrap to anyone looking to ice their foot, heel, or achilles, as it covers all of those at once. I am happy with my purchase.

Bought mine 8+ years ago and it is still basically brand new. No damage to the gel, straps or fabric. I love it. When my ankle injury flares up and swells I start with it frozen, leave it on for 20+ minutes then heat it up in the microwave and then just leave it on for however long I want. Sometimes I reheat because it just feels good on it. The fit is great for any size I would say. Do not walk on it, it's like walking on a soapy floor. It is plyable when frozen,not stiff. I do usually have to flip it around in the microwave to get it evenly heated. This has passed the test of time. I use it a couple times a month and sometimes more. Great relief for the swelling and pain. Great value for how long it has lasted. Easy to hand wash and hang dry.

It has been 14 years since I purchased this and it’s still my favorite cold pack for injuries. It’s still in great shape… I’m just thinking about getting another to have. Definitely recommend highly. Original review: I've had a myriad of problems with my ankle in the past year (four sprains and two breaks in separate places) and I'd been looking for something that would really cover my ankle, wouldn't be a pain to put on, and was comfortable. I decided to go with this products for the good reviews, and I'm glad I did. 1) After leaving this in the freezer overnight it is COLD. I have to put a towel between my ankle and the wrap for the first half hour, and even after that the wrap stays so cold that my skin gets pink after a few minutes. Just what I was looking for! 2) It holds heat just as well. You can put it in the microwave OR oven (microwave is so much faster) and once is it warm it stays warm and is very soothing. 3) I am amazed at the material and the flexibility of this thing. It molds to the foot just enough and the material on the outside as well as the gel on the inside make it SO comfortable. I could keep this on all day and it wouldn't bother me. All in all- a great product. Highly recommended.

After going through many different kinds, and having settled on an old fashioned round bag with a screw on cap, I was tired of making ice and dealing with a wet bag. This wrap is easy, convenient, comfortable, and effective. It is very flexible as well and is a great portable option. 「かかとを冷やすのが難しい」と言っていた抗がん剤治療を受ける友人に、両足分プレゼントしました。お世辞で言ってくれたのかもしれませんが、かかとががっちり冷やせる、看護師さんも見てびっくりしていた、とのことでした。本当は足先まですっぽり包めるものが欲しかったのですが、足先は他のものでも代用できそうなので、まぁこれでよかったのかな、と思っています。

We call it my ice boot, and I wear it while watching the news every night after exercising (I have osteoarthritis in my ankles). I haven't tried it hot- I use a hot water bottle for that, especially when I do 10 minutes hot, 10 minutes cold as recommended by the physio.

Speedy delivery... thank you! Have not used it as a "cold therapy". Certainly does the trick although I did find it a little awkward to fit. Has most definitely helped my peroneal tendonitis.
