It’s a solar powered so installation should be where you can get enough sun exposure. Make sure you fully charged the lithium battery initially.After a week additional information:I also had this hardwired, after realizing that once the battery power is exhausted you will have to keep on recharging the unit most especially if you placed it where you’re not getting a lot of sun exposure. Once you have it hard wired you don’t have to worry recharging it. It is fully charged all the time and have no issues of whatsoever.

I use it to watch my yard along with a couple of Wyze V2s. It's a backup in case of a Power failure. Wake up is slow. It sends alerts but doesn't record the event. Events Recorded are only a few Seconds. You cannot make them longer.I live in the ultra sunny Cal. Desert. (92234)Hooking it up to a source of Power is highly recommended. With only Solar using live view It's gradually loosing Battery Power here an we have Devil Sun. ( If you never live view and only look at alerts it ok )The Picture is fine.It sends alerts to my Phone. That's goodIt only records 8 sec. clips. That's badIt can be mounted with Screws or the included double sided Tape. But that's bad. You cannot recharge it with the Power Supply if it's mounted with Tape or access the SD. care or the On/Off Switch.The automatic Light is a plus but it uses Battery.It's OK at the price that I paid however the price has gone up by 25% and I would recommend looking at other options.

Blends in well with my other solar lights. It was easy to set up. The light is fairly bright. I did contact the seller (who was very prompt in responding) because I couldn't find anywhere in the description or in the installation manual what kind of memory card this took. Overall happy with the product so far

The item that I ordered as per my invoice is stated as "ENSTER Solar Battery Powered Security Camera with Motion Sensor Floodlight Outdoor, 1080P with Night Vision, Motion Detection, Waterproof Support Cloud and Max 128GB Micro SD Card- iOS, Android", however the device manual when it arrived states that there is a Max SD card limit of 32GB so the two 64GB cards that I bought were not usable. When trying to set up the device, I was told to listen for the "Enter configuration Setup" the voice message never came. I then realized that there is was no sound coming from the camera. I had to pay extra shipping for the item to come to me since the shipper does not ship out side the continental US and the hassle of sending it back would have just frustrated me. I picked this camera because it was the only one that was black out of all that I looked at. I needed it for a remote place and expected it to function as stated but it seems that it is just mislabeled. I did finally get it hooked up without the sound and can at least see picture but it seems that at night that clarity is not that great. I will be looking for another option.August 31 update... So after using it for less than two months the battery is swollen and I will have to, either buy another one or try to find a battery for it. Poor design.

Great little cameras. Although the motion detection is not as good as I would like. But it does record without WiFi. Just have to take out the The memory card to view the video files on a PC or laptop

As I tried to configure, test, and use this Cam, its User Manual, and the App, I had numerous questions and problems. The seller helped some via email, but it became apparent to me that most of the issues I had were due to this “package,” particularly the User Manual and the App, not being ready for the marketplace yet. I felt like I was participating in the “prototype” development of the product. I do not have time for this.To configure and test, I set the cam up in my office next to my router and iPhone. I can completely darken my office to test nighttime functionality. I spent around 6 hours or so trying to get this cam working properly. I gave up.Pros:Not very difficult to set up BASIC functionality IF, IF, IF you are already technically competent with cams and WIFI.Clear video.Seller was very willing to work through problems via email.Cons:User Manual:Another (I am so sick of these) poorly written User Manual that is missing content and does not adequately explain the details a user needs to know about many of the features. It has fonts too small to read, broken English, poor grammar, confusing explanations, etc. to the point where instructions for a feature or two could not be deciphered.Seller's attempts to help via email - Emails were sent only once every 24 hours around midnight EST, US. There were too many issues to address effectively via email in a reasonable period of time, and some of seller’s comments were hard to understand (good ole broken English.) I asked twice for clear explanation of Active Time / Sleep Time (in settings). Could not understand either answer.Solution - Well written, comprehensive User Manual should be produced by a technical writer with command of the English language.Cam:Motion detection was usually delayed by a few seconds. Video and lights came on AFTER I walked through the detection field. Sometimes it missed recording me entirely, even when standing and waving arms well into detection field for a few seconds. I could find no sensitivity adjustment. This is a serious deficiency and is a great way to miss recording initial facial recognition, and other important video.Advertised as waterproof, but battery access cover does not seal well enough for me to think that water will not enter.Ad says cam uses an SD Card, so I ordered a 128 Gig SD Card with the cam, only to find out that the cam requires an SD MICRO card.App:No PUSH notifications sent to iPhone. App and iPhone both were set up to enable PUSH and all notification features.App has icons for Pics and Video. No explanation in instructions for what they do or how to use them. Seller said they are to save a pic or video to phone. When tapping them, the app shuts down!App can be set to record to the Cloud. Cloud playback is available only within the app. When tapping the download button next to a Cloud video clip, the app shuts down.Not possible to access Cloud video from other devices, like a computer, but only from smartphone. Seller confirmed this. Do not know where cloud storage is located.Video playback within the app does not allow for adequate zooming / panning (iPhone 6s) to see details like a face that's near the top of the frame.App UI - Overall contrast and font sizes are too washed out and small to comfortably view.Solution – Rework UI.No help files in App.Summary:Again, I do not have time for this. If this package had been properly tested and the bugs had been worked out, I doubt I would have to deal with any of these issues. The product is being returned.Disclaimer - Apparently other reviewers here have had more success than me, ULESS, as I suspect, many of the 5 star reviews are fake. Some of my conclusions here could be off base. It's possible I missed an instruction or something. It's also possible that, since I'm declining to actually put this cam into service, there could be more inadequacies that I haven't discovered.
