Solid Bushnell optics
I am reviewing the 10x50 Engage EDX model here and what i find is a very capable mid priced Binocular which optically is very good, although having compared it with my Bushnell Legend M series 10x42 I’d have to give the Legend M as the one with the slightly better optics…build quality is also marginally better than the Engage. For a 10x50 binocular it’s relatively lightweight ( 828 grams ) it feels well made and solidly put together and i found no mechanical or optical issues with it. The focus wheel is lighter and smoother in operation than the Legend M which in very cold conditions really stiffens up… i bought the Engage to use during the cold winter months. If you can get this at a much reduced price which i was fortunate to with a used like new from Amazon then it is definitely worthwhile. On one of the many forums dedicated to binoculars someone compared the Engage very favourably with the Vortex Viper 10x50….
