Five star company and product!!!!
โญโญโญโญโญI highly recommend the APC UPS 650VA/390W Battery Backup & Surge Protector for PC, NAS (BE650G1). This product does exactly what it says it will do and absolutely lives up to its reputation.I currently have four APC battery backup units in my home, and I have never had a single issue with any of them. Whenever the power goes out, they just keep right on trucking, providing uninterrupted power and giving me plenty of time to safely shut down my equipment if needed. This UPS offers reliable battery backup and excellent surge protection, making it a great choice for protecting valuable electronics such as PCs, NAS devices, TVs, gaming consoles, modems, routers, and other sensitive equipment. Knowing my electronics are protected from both power outages and voltage surges gives me real peace of mind.APC has built a solid reputation for quality, and based on my experience, theyโve earned it. Their products are dependable, well-made, and perform exactly as advertised. If youโre looking for a reliable battery backup and surge protector, I wholeheartedly recommend this APC UPS as well as the APC brand. Itโs an investment thatโs well worth it and one you wonโt regret.

good UPS, slow datalink
I have had good experience with APC UPS in the past and although I have just received this one I am expecting similar reliability from this unit. The product is well made as expected and my router receives data from the USB connection without issue. I did try to use the datalink surge protector but it only supports a speed of 100mbps full duplex. So this feature basically worthless but other than that it seems like a nice product.

Great product, software is a little janky to install, but works well after installation

Happy to find out they still make this model!!!(BE650G1)
I would have saved myself a lot of time and hassle if I had known this UPS was still available. Family got 3 new computers for Christmas and since we live in hurricane alley(more on that later) I decided to get ups units for all of them.I originally bought 2 of the apc 600's on a black friday sale (not Amazon) but returned them in less than 30 min when I started reading the reviews and noticed it was light as a feather. It was advertised as having a usb port well yes technically that was true but it did not connect to anything. So in other words this ups had no way of shutting down the computer like a normal UPS has. The other biggie was the thing had a tiny battery and it was not replaceable. Why they did that is beyond me but between that and the faux usb port it was time to return them both. Note Amazon sells the same 600 here but the pictures show a real usb port and I have read they make that model both ways so that one might be ok.After that I ordered 2 similar cyber power units but canceled them after I read they too were disposable units because you could not replace the battery in them. I never could find out what battery they used and that was the tip off. At least they had real USB ports but I wanted to keep looking.I found a triplite 750 that had very good reviews but then one of the reviewers reported they don't work with Mac's and 2 of our new computers are those new Mini Mac M1's so I had to pass on that one. Then bingo I found an old friend called the BE650G1 or as some call it, the ES650. I still have the original model from 2007 and it still works like a charm. I also have it's baby brother the 325 and it also works just like new.During the fall , I lost track of how many Hurricanes we went through. But in 2 of them both these units worked their hearts keeping my servers and tv going. Around 4am the hurricane hit and the power was switching back and forth like mad. This went on till about 645am when we lost power for good. But this allowed me to watch the news and stay online till that time.So after finding out this unit was still available I ordered 3 of them and sure glad I did. No weird-tiny and hard to find batteries like some of the newer units. When UPS arrived today with my new 650's, they drove up my very steep driveway to put them in my garage because they are so heavy, The shipping box even had a Heavy label on the side. You can get the battery for the 650 from your local electrical supply company for about half the price that you pay at one of those national battery chain stores. That another reason why I would recommend this oldie but goodie model It also works with Windows, Linux and Macs with no issues and I hope APC will continue making this model for years to come!

Seems good
As long as you plug it in and put the router, modem, and hub in the right sockets it will work fine. I connected it to a electrical circuit that shows when thereโs a power failure in the home. It does have three settings for alarm volume. The lowest setting is fine if youโre not home along with the Yolink hub it should send a notice to you that the power has failed in your house. This is exceptionally good when you are away on vacation and you donโt have a generator for backup. We use a backup water sump pump along with a regular water sump pump. If the electricity is out for the regular sump pump, the water sump pump will continue to work as long as the temperatures in the home are above 32ยฐ. I think I need to add a active bring monitoring system somewhere in the house to hear when the alarm goes off so generally the system works if you think about it and what your needs are.

You can use the app to set parameters.
I own several of these some a old as 14 years. They are very durable the only maintenance required is to change the battery every three to five years. I love the ability to be able to program them with the app. I can even program them to turn on if even for a moment if there is to much distortion on the power coming from the power distribution company. There are other parameters that can be set some are similar to those offered by other manufacturers, the difference is APC backups can be set to tighter tolerances. I have a standby generator so when the power fails I know I don't have to worry about turning off any of my electronics because the backup power supply will carry the load until the generator picks up the load which is only seconds. Also the backup power supply will kick in with voltage surges or low supply voltage which I can set to kick in at a voltage I choose.

APC is the best
This is a great backup system. Numerous times, either during storms or someone hitting a pole, when my power has gone out unexpectedly this has saved my computer. Instances where I didnโt even realize my power went out because my desk and computer stayed powered on. Gives me plenty of time to save what Iโm doing and safely close out and shut down.

So, You Think You Don't Need One?
Where I live, power outages are a regular thing, especially during high temperature power drains in summer or A-N-Y type of other weather extreme.Just purchased an APCยฎ Model BE650G1 after a catastrophe. In the past, I was too cheap to buy this level of protection, and frankly, thought I didn't need it.Anyway, this unit will be in my home office FOR AS LONG AS I AM ALIVE, connecting a: 1) BRAND NEW Windows 11 Pro PC desktop [tower] computer, 2) a 32" LCD monitor, 3) a fiber-optic modem, and 4) a DECOยฎ "mesh" router, to the "BATTERY BACKUP/SURGE PROTECTION" side ... and a network "Hub", a TABLOtvยฎ, and an HP Laserjet printer, to the "SURGE PROTECTION ONLY" side.NOTES:1) The instructions say to charge the battery for 16 hours, but I would suggest a FULL 24 HOURS, to condition the battery. ALWAYS plug-in the APCยฎ unit DIRECTLY to a 3-prong wall plug (NO extension cords, strips, etc!).2) I mentioned Windows 11 because of the included "PowerChuteยฎ" setup software. First, connect the included USB cable to the APCยฎ unit, and to your computer. Have your devices plugged-in to the chosen outlets, and make sure the unit is "On" (green light). Then install the software.3) Your unit was shipped with a CD in the box - DON'T USE IT! Download the latest "FULL" version from the APCยฎ website. (Check for Windows versions compatibility).4) The "PowerChuteยฎ" software is GREAT! It lets you choose all types of "shutdown" options and displays battery statistics - including a log! This software is not necessary for your unit to function perfectly, but it makes no sense not to utilize it.IMPORTANT! Make sure the software appears in your Windows "Startup" programs!5) This unit contains Surge Protection for any network or cable connection that uses an "RJ-45" jack. Fortunately, if you have a "Fiber Optic" connection, surge protection is unnecessary, that is why there are no connection jacks for optics.TESTING:I have not done a total "Rundown" test to see how long the battery will last, but the results of the "pull out the plug" tests I have run, showed the battery engaged and powered my four devices WITHOUT A FLICKER, and the software did EXACTLY what I had chosen for it to do!CONCLUSION: Why don't you have one of these? I know TOO well! I can't speak to durability or longevity since it's been functioning less than a week, but after reading MANY reviews on this and other "backup battery" solutions, APC won hands-down.

Excelente

Works when programmed properly
Using the non battery side for TV, Bose Soundbar, Bose Subwoofer and Starlink Power Brick. (Starlink heavy on power especially during Snow/Ice thaw cycles.)I use the battery backup side for PS5, XBOX - X, Mac Mini M2, and a low powered ethernet hub.At first the APC 650 VA worked when the power went off but it didn't switch back to utility power when the standby generator kicked in. This caused it to deplete the battery and shutdown all my equipment that was in Standby mode after a few hours. After watching a few videos on YouTube and figuring that I needed to adjust the APC's sensitivity setting to LOW, it now works as intended. Check out videos on YouTube to figure out the settings you need for your specific model.Very happy with the product. AND the alarm on this model can be shut off but is in no way annoying like other brands or models I've used.

APC Back-UPS 650VA UPS Battery Backup & Surge Protector (BE650G) Good product
I use this device to provide power conditioning and uninterruptible power to my TV and related devices. It will allow me to power down these attached electronics in a controlled and timely manner if power is lost in the house. I get peace of mind knowing my investment in home entertainment is protected from "hard" shutdowns that are not good for senstive electronics.I have 4 APC UPC devices protecting computers, external hard drives and health related equipment in my home. I have used APC products for 10 + years and trust them to protect all my stuff.GordK

Exactly what I needed for my pellet stove
I bought this because when the power goes out for my pellet stove it would fill up the house with smoke. This runs the pellet stove long enough to get rid of the smoke and shut the unit down exactly what I needed.

Seems to be well made
received in well packaged box with everything included. clear instructions for hooking up battery (shipped disconnected) feels like a high quality product but I wish the outlets were spaced further apart as many plugs these days are oversized. An update on how well it performs in a power outage will have to wait. all the outlets are surge protected but only half of them have back-up power on the battery. Not really a problem but it didn't seem to be advertised in the product description.
