LEGOElves Naida's Epic Adventure Ship 41073

What a great new line of Legos! My six year old is a huge Lego fan, and to date we've mostly been doing the "Friends" sets. She likes the colors and the "real" looking figures. But I'm not a fan of the "shopping" and "spa" themes of many of the sets. The Elves line is a great new addition. It has a story line and fun colors, and is more adventure oriented. She specifically asked for this ship for her birthday, and it was the first thing that she wanted to open. As always, the Lego instructions are easy to follow (even for my six year old!) and the attention to detail is extraordinary. It's great that this set comes with two figures, and and the ship itself is a wonderful piece. It's already inspired tons of play, and will surely be used a great deal more. We will definitely be back for more of the Elves line.

I started collecting the Lego Elves sets because of the dragons, and didn't really think of getting Naida's ship... I did end up getting it on a whim, and have zero regrets! It's epic, indeed! Beautifully designed, with so much detail, and encourages hours of adventures for me and my DD.I do wish the Lego mini dolls had holes on their butts to secure them to the seats, because they constantly slide off their seats, and it's a noticeable source of frustration! Regardless, thank you, Lego, for coming up with this line, and the Elves storyline, too! Looking forward to more additions to our Elves fantasy world!

This was a gift for grandchild , it arrived in perfect condition and she had great fun putting it together.

My niece loved this gift and I enjoyed helping her put it together !! A nice array of color and all pieces were included and detailed understandable instructions included !!! This item was also cheaper on Amazon then in store !!

As always, Lego knows how to produce quality. The details on this set are unique and well thought out. My daughter loved receiving this for Christmas and she is still playing with it months later. She loves the new Elves collection.

This LEGO Elves series has the coolest items - the dragons, wings, elves are so whimsical. My daughter enjoyed putting this together and playing with it afterward. High quality and good price through Amazon.

Let me begin by saying that, while I'm a fan of Lego, I haven't been a huge fan of the "Friends" line. It seemed cutesy and reinforced gender stereotypes, with largely pink color schemes and primarily domestic roles for the characters, and on top of that, the builds were simple and the figures didn't match the normal Lego figures, so they couldn't be mixed and matched. When I first saw the Elves line, I figured that it would suffer from the same problems, but I was very wrong."Elves" in general is the best original property Lego has made in years. In particular, this set is gorgeous. It uses midlevel building techniques that younger fans can understand- and older fans can admire- to give the ship smooth curves and beautiful shaping. It uses some unusual piece combinations, like using goblets as lanterns and gemstones as telescope lenses, that can inspire new ideas in kids. But to me, the best part of the set is the color. Oh my goodness, the set is pretty. No garish pinks or magentas, this set uses a glorious combination of lavender, a light azure, and a deep earth blue that interact very well, while some brown and tan sections represent naked wood, and the gold elements represent the metal decoration. I literally spent 40 minutes admiring how well this ship was designed from a visual standpoint.My only problem with this set is the figures. They still don't mesh with the standard minifigures. However, if you're a fan of "Friends," then you probably have a number of "minidolls" (the official name for the taller, more feminine, and more realistic figures) with which these will integrate just fine. Additionally, because the model is built at the proper scale for those figures, the more normal minifigures look a little odd manning the ship. However, none of this detracts from the model itself.I highly recommend this set. It's an objectively beautiful model, and that makes it great for either gender and any age. Get it!

Finally Lego made some sets for girls that are not shopping (Friends) themed. My 4 year daughter old loves Legos and the Elves and Disney Princess lines are great for her. She still cannot put them together by herself, but we do it together and she loves playing with them when done.

This was a perfect addition to my 10 year old's collection. She wasn't a fan of the Lego Friends line but loves this one. As always, Lego ensured all parts were there and the instructions were clear enough for her to put it together herself.

I was unsure about this set at first, but my daughter LOVES it. Some really great details and lots of fun stuff to play with and build/rebuild many times. Lego has done a great job with the Elves series!

My 6 years old grand daughter is enjoying this kit. The ship is a lot bigger than I thought it would be. Great addition to our Lego Friends show case. Can't wait to see what comes next
