Expensive but worth every penny....
I am slowly getting rid of all of my tool bags and tool cases and replacing them with Systainers. The quality is awesome and the design and functionality is flawless.

These systainers are the best for trying to keep your shop organized. They have great access once filled and work well with other systainers

Systainers Rock
What's to say? The entire line of Festool systainers work well. They lock together, they stack, the sizes are nice, the quality is good. Hey, they're great.

Great tool storage. Would be great if you could buy foam liner.
We love everything Festool and this product was no exception. We use this for our small general hand tools like screwdrivers and pliers. We had to cut our own foam liner for inside the box to keep things from rolling around. It is complex inside and that was not an easy task. Festool could help customers by offering a pad that fits these Systainer boxes, since they all have the same complex interior. Seems strong and durable. The rotating lock which also can connect box to another Systainer works great.

SYS1
It's just a box that cost way more than it should, but if you work with tools for a living and have to move them from one place to another, this system is one of the best. Not water resistant , you need the DeWalt Tough system for that (also a great way to go), but to move and store tool it's the only way to go. And yes you can store non-Festool product in them.

great quality
I am hooked on festool. Systainers store my tooling in a neat sealed box. The stackable features are a plus.

Your Gateway To A New Life Of Workshop Serenity And Order!
If you don't already own a Systainer, and this is your first purchase, be warned! Like rabbits, these things have a habit of quickly multiplying. Essentially what happens is, you soon realise the potential of the system and that one makes no sense. So you purchase more. Fear not though, ownership is a Good Thing, and your life will be transformed. Your bank balance will take a hit, but you'll never again waste time trying to find lost kit.Of all the Festool Systainers, the Sys 1 is the most shallow standard sized box, with a diminutive 75mm internal height. As such it isn't the most versatile, but is is very handy for storing smaller items. I keep a set of hole saws and mandrels in one, and sandpaper pads for my small RTS400 sander in another. It could equally be useful for screwdrivers, small tools, or whatever else takes your fancy. As with all these boxes it comes empty, so you'll need to purchase a foam pad or an insert separately, should you need one. If you're not yet familiar with these Systainers, the rotating T-Loc catch is a clever device that allows you to mate Systainers together vertically, and even open the stack mid-way if you wish, without having to remove the boxes above. I really like the credit card sized twin slots in the front, which is a real boon for identifying both the contents and the owner. I personally code my Systainers using cloured plastic ID cards: red for electrical, blue for plumbing kit, green for power tools, blue for fixings etc. It makes finding things very much easier amidst my five large stacks (did I mention they multiply?)The boxes are all made by Tanos, in Germany, from very robust high impact plastic. Spare parts are readily available from Festool dealers too, so if you break a catch or lose the handle all is not lost. Probably the most useful Systainer of all (for me at least) is the superb Festool SYS 4 TL-SORT/3 Systainer Box I recommend you invest in that also.I hope this review has been of use to you, and I'm happy to answer any questions if you want to leave a comment below. Excellent Tool storage case
I bought this to replace a rather poor trade case which came with a jigsaw. As I have a lot of Festool tools it fits in nicely with my other T-LOC cases. If you want to store 'bits' in in then, of course, you need some inserts. Either buy Festool's own (expensive), or make your own from bits of plywood offcuts. Quality case with good hinge and strong plastic. A bonus is you can make your own labels, which then slide into a front slot. Recommended.
