Not sure which colour to get. I love the blacked-out look, but I'm worried it might not hold up over time?** A: Yes it does scratch off. Doesn't last long really, maybe a month in the pocket before it looks tatty. Its a good tool though, although the pliers at are only for very very light work. I broke mine. **Q: Will the snips cut thin sheet metal?** A: I would not think so, and would soon be blunted if they did.
