First, and most importantly, function: It works really, really well. I have it hooked down stream from a Xantrex C40 controller, and 6 lead acid batteries in 24 V configuration. In bulk charge mode the voltage can spike as high as 29.5 volts, but this inverter handles it fine. Much more efficient than the previous arrangement, in which I had a 12v inverter hooked up from the 24 v bank to a 12 v bank via a samlex 24-12 power supply.The bad news: it's NOISY when the fan is on (sounds like a vacuum cleaner), the amps/watts bar meter doesn't seem to work, and the on/off switch is a 5 cent pc-board mounted switch. It looks cheap and tacky.So if you have it installed a good distance from the house/rv, and you don't have to look at hear it ... it's a winner. The Samlex 24-12 power supply has performed flawlessly for over a year, this is why I was under the impression that Samlex makes quality equipment. We will see how long it lasts.

So far it has not skipped a beat, even when two thing start at the same time. Highly recommended for big truck use.
