First of all, I made a dispenser similar to this out of an old mud bucket many years ago. The limit of this one is that you have to keep refilling it. On the plus side, you have 2 choices for mud quantity, which is very convenient.Rather than putting this on top of a bucket, I found it easier to place it against a wall and secure it with a couple drywall screws. Then, I stretch out a tape measure leaving it about an inch beyond the end of the dispenser. This way, you can pull out as much as you want, and it can be cut to exact length (see pictures). I found it easy enough to do 8-10 foot runs without assistance, but it is definitely easier with another set of hands.The outlet markers are too easy to get cocked-eyed when you're positioning the drywall. I found it better to mark out the center and drill a 1 inch hole first. You can oblong it as necessary for the marker to poke through straight. Then they are very handy for protecting the wires as you roto-zip the outlet hole.The nicest surprise was the bucket scraper. I always set my tape in 90 minute setting compound, so I do a ton of mixing. The scraper allows me to scoop out almost every drop, and leaves the bucket with very little mess to wash out. And of course, it is the perfect size for filling the dispenser reservoir. After a full day of mixing mud, the scraper probably made it worth the purchase price of the whole set.The mixer works very well. It does a good job without leaving any shavings from scraping the sides of the bucket. After mixing appx 10 buckets of mud, the inside of my mixing bucket was still smooth and shiny. It also cleans up very easily.If you're using full-size rolls of tape, you will want to cut about a 10 inch piece of 2" PVC pipe to use as a spool. Even with smaller rolls, I use the pipe to make it feed easier.All in all, this set will definitely help you do a good job. The dispenser puts a good coat of mud on the tape, and even with occasional voids, I haven't had any problem with blistering. If you have a larger job to do, you will find it worth the purchase price.

The drywall tape dispenser is genius, HOWEVER it doesn’t work with the pre-mixed mud due to the thicker consistency. The tools are all well-made and very functional.

I wasn't so sure about this product, thought it would be "one of those things" but was surprised how well it worked, saved me a lot of time on taping.

If you’re new to drywall this is a must have! It lays down the perfect amount of mud and cuts the learning curve in half. A little practice and anyone can get professional looking butt and flat joints as well as corners.

This drywall tool is amazing. I am a bit of a novice and this has changed the way I am able to put up drywall tape. Before sometimes I would get bubbles or the tape would come up but now it is perfect every time.The added tools are nice but not required. In fact I do not use the electric box parts.

Quality- I’ve been using them over a year and they are still in good shape.Price - very reasonable.Functionality- you can tell they were designed by someone who works in the trade.
