Fun and cheap decor
Great stuff. I used it for trim on doorbell and garden arches. Wears well.

Excellent product
I used this for a deadhead from this past season. I did three coats, and barely used any. The paint quality, coverage, thickness, and look are really excellent. I decided to use a homemade patina solution; perhaps the paired product would have driven more results but I like how this turned out.

Worked great! Looks awesome and easy to use.
Product goes farther (covers a larger area) than I thought it would too.

Amazing!
I tried a LOT of different colors for my front door with “copper” being the goal. Nothing satisfied me. Then, when I found this, I was very hopeful. I am THRILLED with the result! Beautiful, easy to apply, dries well and quickly - highly recommend!

Iron!
Not all of us like orange rust, but most of us like iron. Although Folk Art makes a terrific craft paint called "Wrought Iron," I was curious to try this paint as well, even though I had no intention of rusting it. First thing I noticed when opening the jar is that the smell is incredibly bad, like something that's been in your grandfather's shed for 50 years. The paint is also very thick and lumpy, so I added water. The finish is surprisingly chalk-like, and more of a dark grey than black. Right now Pottery Barn has a lot of items with a zinc finish, and this paint dries very similar to that, so I decided to try my own version. I have a ceramic vase that I like the shape of, but not the finish. I painted two coats with the iron paint. Then I airbrushed it with light grey and white chalk paints, to give it that powdery weathered zinc look. After some sanding with 220 and 400 grit paper, I wiped it down and was pretty impressed. Unless I'm mistaken, the iron paint actually burnishes to a sheen if you sand it. I decided to seal my project with Mod Podge Ultra Matte, and I'm including before and after pictures. The Mod Podge darkened the surface and took away the powdery texture, but it also evened out the finish and provided a layer of protection. I'm still happy with it, but I might not seal the surface next time. Modern Masters might tell you this paint is only designed for rusting, but it's also a great way to turn pretty much anything into iron.

AMAZING RESULTS!
I purchased this to create an antiqued copper look to an existing white drop ceiling grid in a bathroom we were remodeling. I had purchased Faux Tin Ceiling Tiles with a Weathered Copper look (Drop In) and really wanted to not have to replace the grid. All I can say is - WOW!!! The photo's speak for themselves. A little goes a long way. This was done with one bottle each of the Modern Masters ME-149 Reactive Metallic Paint Copper, Modern Masters PA901-04 Aging Solution Green Patina and Modern Masters AM203-04 Metal Effects Primer. Outstanding product!

Any Modern Masters product is excellent!
I have used Modern Masters products for many years. I am an avid amateur home remodeler and decorator. I have been to classes for faux finishing and was taught how to paint by professionals. I spend a lot of time researching products before I buy and frequent forums where professionals exchange ideas and give advice. Invariably they recommend Modern Masters brands and say that it is a waste of their time to use other products that are sold to do-it-yourselfers.This brand is higher priced than other brands, but when you use them, you see how much farther the paints go and how better they perform when you need that extra "open time" to perfect the look you want to acheive. There is far more pigment in the paints and the metallics are very true and realistic. In fact they are so real that you can use various patina solutions that react with the metals in the various metallic paints. I also purchased all the patina solutions to acheive various color patinas. You can search "Modern Masters Metals" and find all of them. I am doing a copper leaf finish on a wooden window frame that houses a stained glass piece measuring 4' by 4'. I will use the Modern Masters copper paint to do any fill-ins of blank spaces and then I will treat it with the chemical patina for the end result.Modern Masters has such a wide variety of unique products, some of which are unfamiliar to the inexperienced painter. I recommend doing a little homework first. I can almost promise you that there are no cheaper substitutes. I have tried and failed many times. I compared and found them wanting.

Beautiful copper and patina
I got the copper and the green patina, and painted my fiberglass concrete ish planters that I have indoors. Used a spray bottle and gently misted the copper on the second coat (as instructed) while it was drying. Waited an hour or two and went back over it with the copper on a dry sponge. Perfection!
