It was made nicely and it fit the nipples on my Pietta New ...
If you shoot black powder revolvers or are thinking of getting into them, this is a must have. It was made nicely and it fit the nipples on my Pietta New Model Army perfectly. My only gripe is that the pick is a bit flimsy and it can easily bend and possibly break. Other than that I love this thing and it's going in my shooting bag.

Waste of money
By the time I got to the 3rd nipple for its first use it started chipping apart. And I couldn't even make it through the 6th nipple before the wrench became unusable. The metal is just way too soft.I used it on my 1851 colt that had never been shot. And I oiled the cylinder a lot before hand to be safe since I saw a couple reviews on the wrench being weak, but I didn't expect it to be this bad.

Worked great for me!
Worked flawlessly to remove, install and pick my 1989 (vintage) CVA 1858 remington army revolver nipples. I read the reviews and I believe those who bent the tool etc, just haven't taken the proper precautions to keep the nipples at the proper torque. I use my revolver regularly, clean it every time and always apply product to the nipples threads before reinstalling. This tool got them out with very little effort. The tool itself seems well made and solid. I personally WOULD recommend this for BP revolver shooters. And would gladly buy it again if needed.

It fit but it's basically aluminum foil.
I immediately pulled it out of the package and fitted it to my revolvers nipple and it pulled the first one out just fine but by the second nipple the whole wrench was bent up without much effort. I am always careful and make sure the job is done right so it was not me in this instance. In the time space of 5 minutes this thing was trash. Honestly, I wasted money even as cheap as it was. I suppose I have a nipple pick at the least. Too bad it couldn't finish at least 1/2 the job.

Not worth the money
Poor quality wore out before I could get all 6 nipples out of the cylinder

Poor steel and deformation
This is not very good at unscrewing tight nipples such this those that come on the cylinder straight from the factory. They are soft steel and will deform under pressure. Ok if you agave nipples that are not so tight on the cylinder.

No problems!
First of all, I ordered this a month ago, considering the state of the country right now I allowed more time than usual for it to arrive, once amazon declared it lost I contacted the sellers NightGalaxy and three days later it was at the house! Thanks guys! Now for the product review!I have read all these negative reviews on here about this nipple wrench, I just used it to remove the nipples for both my 1851 Colt Navy and my 1858 Remington New Model Army cylinders, both made by Pietta. I had absolutely no problem with getting them out or putting them back in, this nipple wrench worked just fine, I saw none of the problems so far that the other reviewers encountered, maybe I just got lucky? I don’t know, I do know that I didn’t apply to much pressure on the tool as I didn’t have to, I had fired about 150 loads through each cylinder before removing the nipples and they came out with ease, when I put them back in I made sure not to over tighten, I expect to get years of service from this wrench!! Don’t let the negative reviews deter you from buying it, with a light hand it works perfectly fine!
