Works well
The light will come on if you still have battery power, makes sense. Although I thought that meant I had power going to it from my backup source, d'oh. If I'd been thinking it would have helped. I used it a second time, works just fine to save settings and whatnot. Excellent time and frustration saver.

Works like a Charm!
I tested this on my 2010 Toyota Tundra. I didn’t replace the battery but I did disconnect it and I was very pleased to see that it saved all the settings. I did replace the battery on my 2019 Toyota Camry and I had the same result. All the settings were saved. I used a small LIFEPo4 power station from EcoFlow as my power source. If you already have a 12 volt power source or an extra car with an extension then get this. Don’t bother with the one that cost’s over a hundred bucks. This does exactly what you need it to and for a fraction of the cost.

Works for me
Not sure why others have had troubles. Possibly a difference between auto brands. I have used it on a 2013 and a 2016 Honda with perfect results. Retained the clock and radio presets. The 2016 has a factory navigation system and everything works fine after making the battery change.

It works
Pretty straight forward. My only real complaint is that the red light comes on when it's plugged into the ODB2 connector and the power connector end isn't plugged into anything. An additional light verifying that the power plug is hot would have been more reassuring. Cheaper than paying a dealership $300 in addition to the battery to make sure my engine settings didn't reset/brick my vehicle. I love electronics, but I'm not impressed with the direction new car technology has taken.

Needed for retaining computer memory
Fits Subarus perfectly. I know there are easier ways to retain the car memory when changing a battery....but this makes it so much simpler, without alligator clips popping off. Battery also has to come out for changing spark plugs....this makes the job super easy. Subaru mechanics use this device.

Kept Most Settings Intact
The Schumacher memory saver worked well when I did some work on our car battery. Unfortunately it did not save the second seating position on our Lexus. Otherwise all our settings (satellite radio, AM/FM radio) were intact and did not require resetting.Just be careful when you use this device as it will save you a lot of headaches, but may give you others.

Very short cable, not as advertised!
It is advertised as 6ft long cable which makes sense! When it arrived, the cable is only 2ft long. Not enough to even reach to the floor mats! Returned to amazon and purchased similar one from canadian tire with 6ft long cable as advertised!
