The Ventura children's trainer handle can help build the confidence of an young biker, as well as provide you with some comfort. No more bending down to control the bike or tricycle, just attach handle to seat post or seat tube and comfortably assist child through their learning process.

Best assist product available
There are a number of these assist devices available, some attach to the rear wheel hub and some to the seat post but I think this is the best one available. This device is lightweight and it stays in place when you let go of it so it doesn't affect the balance of the bike. I was able to jog along with my 6 year old very comfortably while he was learning to ride. I would let go for progressively longer periods of time and if he got into trouble rescuing him was easy just grabbing the padded handle. Because it attaches high on the seat post it gives you a lot of leverage if you need it. Slight loosening was a little bit of a problem initially when I hand tightened it but the next time I used pliers and it was fine after that.

Great training handle bar for your kid's bike
I bought this for use with a 16" Specialized Hotrock A1 Aluminum, it is a perfect fit for this model. This version of the trainer handle connects to the seat post of a bicycle. In order for this to fit, you must (1) have a seatpost, (2) have at least 2" of seatpost sticking up (meaning it cannot be bottomed out. The handle main bar is welded to one of the two "T" plates that wrap around the seatpost. The other plate is a loose "T" shape that is held in place with a quick release screw lever against the other "T" plate. Because one of the two "T" plates is welded to the main bar, there is no risk or twisting. I was able to crank the quickrelease down and this is by far one of the most secure connections I have encountered. To give you an idea, you can pick up the entire bike from just the handle bar if you are strong enough. The mounting position is just behind the seat and does not take up any additional storage space. The balance is neutral and does not noticeably affect riding balance.

Best method I tried to teach bike riding
My neighbor recommended this to me after seeing me run beside my son holding his bike's handlebars. This is so much easier. You are out of the way of the bike. You can let go of the handle without them knowing because you are behind them. My son went 300 feet down the sidewalk thinking I was holding on when I was just running behind. You can easily re-grab the handle as needed. The unit does not affect the balance of the bike. It easily installed around the pipe holding the bike seat. The one issue is that it does loosen if you exert pressure on it a lot, so I have had to tighten it frequently. With hand tightening there is a little wiggle, but it stays in place and works fine. I will use it with my daughter next.

Buy this!!
Have a 2 year old that wants to ride a big kid bike but can't figure out the pedals???BUY THIS.Hands down the best $30 we've spent lately. Our little one want else to ride like big brother but doesn't know how to pedal yet. Rather than breaking our back bending to push his bike, we tried this. It's awesome. You won't be disappointed.

What a great invention! It makes a to of difference in the comfort of helping your kiddo ride their bike. At this point we just use it along with training wheels to get our child accustomed to working the pedals and steering. Eventually we will use it without the training wheels too. It enables me to walk the dog and help her with her bike at the same time. Wish we had bought it sooner!

Great but needs a few extra inches
Great product. Very helpful for toddler just learning to ride a bike. Gave it 4 stars bc I wish it we're a bit lighter weight and a few inches longer!

There are better ones out there
The handle keeps sliding around and cannot be made tight enough to stay in one place. The handle is heavy and affects the riders ability to balance. There are better ones out there. Not worth the price.
