Although rewiring all 50amp plugs requires working in tight quarters, this one was reasonable. Having used it several times, I find the strain relief to be solid and the electrical connection to be good. There aren't any signs of loose connection problems. Everything still looks like new.

I have a 2007 Damon motor coach that I change my power Watch Dog to be in internal one. Used this as opposed to being on the pole. This and another one to connect to the wire I disconnected. Now I have a long wire and can connect directly inside.

This item corrected my problem what I didn’t like about the item it seems to be made poorly. But it did correct the issue that I was having with my RV with only getting half of the 50 Amp I need.

We were planning a multi-week roadtrip, which included a 3 night stopover at a cousins' place in Houston. This was in a 31' Class C. We got permission to park in their driveway, and my sister rather ingeniously though to call ahead and ask if they could send a photo of what their electric dryer socket looked like.My sis forwarded the photo to me, and armed with that info, I bought a matching plug and 100' of 12/3 from Home Depot, and one of these 30A RV receptacles from Amazon. Pre-assembled the cable, and when we showed up a week later, I was able to get the RV plugged in and running at full house load within 10 minutes.No idea as to weather-proofness, as the union between the RV plug and the adapter socket was under a sheltered porch. Based on visual observation, I'd say that this would be 0% weatherproof if lying on the ground. Thus, if it's exposed, set it atop a rock or something, and cover it.Ease of assembly gets dinged by -1, as the contacts tend to want to jump out of the socket as you're torquing them down. But, to be fair, that's a defect which is pretty much universal across all 30TT sockets.All in all, it works well. Not exactly the Hubbell-grade stuff I'm used to dealing with a work, but then, nothing is in the RV world...

I wired the plug, correctly then went to assemble and found the cover could not go on because I routed the ground wire to the left (when looking down into the opened plug). Sadly, there are section of the "cap" that help force the contacts into their holes firmly. Wiring the ground to the left put that wire in the way of those parts of the cap. So, pulled it apart and move the ground to the right side where there was no issue with closing the assembly. Plenty strong.

It worked, I kept it. The plastic is lower quality. Connecting the cable was not easy but you only do that once. Cable strain relief was poor. Go else where if there will be some pulling on you cable. Example at an RV park.
