don’t know what the long-term effect is but it covered well. Use like they say thin multiple layers. Don’t try and put it on all in one. Happy with the results.

As expected

Dupli-Color rubberized undercoat spray is a solid product for automotive underbody protection and sound deadening. I used it on my car's wheel wells and underneath the doors after doing some rust repairs, and it sprays out smoothly with a nice thick texture that adheres well to metal and existing undercoating. The paintable formula is a big plus — you can topcoat it if needed. The 16 oz aerosol can gives good coverage area. It dries to a tough, flexible finish that doesn't crack. I let it cure for 24 hours before driving and it has held up through several weeks of road use without chipping. For the price, this is an excellent choice for DIY undercoating. Just make sure to shake well and apply in thin coats for best results.

This brand always works good unless there's something wrong with the air in a can. But good Friday easy to use

I was surprised it was kind of 'thin' and took many coats in COMPARISON W/ANOTHER BRAND.

Used this on a new gas tank. Surface prepped wiped off.. Tank came painted. Applied a light first coat, waited 40 mins, then applied second. Allowed to dry indoors with a space heater keeping the area warm. I bought this with the plan to paint over it, as it's advertised as being ' paintable '. The dry time is more than 24 hrs, NOT the 10 mins they state. Some areas came loose when painting with Rustoleum by brush.
