An insightful and beautifully illustrated book
An appealing book where ‘Lucy’, 9 years old, shares what it is like to have a father on dialysis. What is involved is seen through the eyes of the young child and medical words are explained. The notes for parents and professionals are extremely helpful. This is an important tool for families with young children who have a family member with kidney failure. It would also be useful for a Primary School to have this series available for information and understanding about this condition as seen from a nine year old’s point of view.

What an important book. Would recommend..
What an important book, written in a story format from a childs perspective including extra notes for parents, family members and teachers. Wonderfully illustrated and would be of immense value to anyone experiencing dialysis first hand.

An informative and charming story of living with kidney disease.
This story is affectionately written, with joyful illustrations. The story itself and the notes for parents, carers and professionals are very informative and provide practical suggestions for helping children understand and adapt to family life with peritoneal dialysis.
