Coppertone WaterBabies Sunscreen Lotion SPF 50, 8 oz

This is my second time purchasing this sunscreen, and I love it! It’s lightweight, absorbs quickly, and doesn’t leave a greasy feel. It’s perfect for my sensitive skin, offering great protection without irritation. I wear it daily under makeup, and it works perfectly. Highly recommend!

I was told by my dermatologist almost 30 years ago to use sunscreen on my face 365 days a year and I have followed his advice faithfully. It has really paid off because as a 70 year old my skin looks a good 10 years younger. In the summer time I use it on my arms and legs. I particularly like "Water Babies" because it goes on smoothly and had a nice smell. When I first apply it, it looks white for a couple of minutes but quickly fades before it is time to put my make up on. I recommend this product for all ages.

I tried several different sunscreens on a trip to Hawaii this year. This became my favorite. Compared to spray sunscreens, this is safer as you can easily gauge the coverage and make sure spots are not missed. It goes on a little white, but the white color goes away after a while and the protection remains. As with any sunscreen you do need to re-apply periodically, but this variety seems to be more forgiving than others when I go for a little longer between applications. This sunscreen does contain oxybenzone, so it's best to find an oxybenzone-free alternative for use snorkeling on coral reefs and with sensitive sealife that could be damaged by that chemical. I still think it's the best sunscreen for the beach though.

This sunscreen is rated first in its July 2014 issue by Consumer Reports, out of 11 considered in the primary category. It was the only one in that category rated Excellent for both UVA and UVB protection. (The primary category did not include sprays or "ultrahigh SPF," both of which included products rating higher.) Before deciding, you might want to consider the recommendations of the Environmental Working Group at ewg.org. EWG does *not* recommend this Coppertone product, because of reservations about what EWG considers questionable ingredients. You should also be aware that the Coppertone folks recommend against buying the product on Amazon, because of the prospect of receiving a product too close to its expiration date. Sunscreens expire in two to three years. This product has a production code that's virtually impossible to see unless you know where to look, and look very carefully. It's embossed on the back of the blue cap. My production code began with 3A, which the Coppertone folks told me means 2013 January—in other words over 1½ years before I received it. (It also had an expiration code reflecting an expiration in less than a year, but I'm told that newer products will not display an expiration code.) Amazon is very cooperative in situations like these, and immediately refunded my payment.

Hands down the best sunscreen in the world! I never thought I'd be able to find a sunscreen that: 1. Is not greasy 2. Absorbs into your skin 3. Is actually sweatproof 4. Smells good 5. Actually does what it says it does I can't even put into words how excited I am I found this lotion. I jog often and this summer I've gotten burned like crazy. I used La Roche-Posay because Consumer Reports gave it a 100% rating. But it was the worst and most expensive lotion I've ever purchased. It melted right off my skin the second I started to sweat. So I tried the next lotion on their list, which was this one - and OMIGOD its sooo good!!!! It is actually sweatproof and for the first few times this summer, I've come back from my jogs with no burns or weird tan lines! Don't think about it, just buy it. Trust me you will never use another sunscreen again. Years from now when I have children, they will be using this lotion. That's how deeply I feel about this miracle sunscreen.

Played golf twice with this sunscreen on, and all was well until after washing two white golf shirts. Both shirts had pink stains wherever the sunscreen touched them: collar, sleeve cuffs, front where my bare arms touched, and in the back where I used my sunscreen covered hands to tuck the shirt in. I don't know why this happened, but I'll never use this sunscreen again. Update: sent an e-mail to Coppertone: I'll see what happens. 9-3-16 Update 2: No response from Coppertone Also came across an article explaining that avobenzone can react with iron in water to create pink stains (stains might be removable if the fabric hasn't been dried yet. Mine were dried, so it's too late). [...] Don't know if this happened in my case - I've used the sunscreen with these shirts before, with no problems.

I use this sunscreen on my 15 month old and have since he turned a year. He has very pale easy to burn skin and in our Texas sun he's never once gotten burned. We reapply every hour as we're either in the water or sweating from the summer heat. I have noticed when in the water the sunscreen creates white blotchy spots on his face but it's never once affected the protection from getting burned and he's never become sad or complained about the sunscreen getting in his eyes. I would highly recommend!

Coppertone water babies is the best kids' sunscreen I have ever used so far. non sticky, no strong artificial smell, no sting no tears, no scary blue or white face effect, easy to wash off, and the most important, it gives the children the great protection and lotion is great than runny liquid as it also provides great degree of moisture , never get burned, and it clearly says on the packaging water resistant for 80mins. Fair postage, fast response, responsible stuff, great communication. Great shop to get hold of some great kids skin care products of America, excellent, will shop again!

As I get prickly heat this is the only one that works for me, I normally buy it in the USA whilst on yearly family visits as I can't find it in the UK so Amazon helped me out, very quick delivery also. A happy customer.

I bought this when my baby was 3 months old and we were taking him on holiday where there was going to be a lot of sun, sun, sun. I applied the lotion on him when we took him to the pool, which was quite often. The lotion was easy to spread on baby's skin, and absorbed fairly quickly. Smell was not noticeably strong to me, and I guess it does work, as baby did not get any sunburn... It was good having this sunscreen with us, as it gave me the confidence to take baby out in the sun without worrying about skin damage and feeling like a bad mother! On a couple of occasions I even used some on myself when I forgot my own sunscreen.
