The best shower cap for my big head and long hair. Don’t waste money on cheaper ones. I use mine every day. These last me about a year.

This is basically a plastic showercap lined with terry cloth. This makes it more comfortable, but a bit hard to deal with. The terry cloth can get wet and then doesn’t dry very easily. It also will stain if it comes into contact with a mask or something you’re using, and it’s hard to wash. I tried washing it in the washer (hand washing wasn’t cutting it), and just in the washer in gentle, most of the dry bar logo print came off. I don’t really care what it looks like but it made me think that the plastic part wouldn’t hold up to many, if any, more washer washings.

While this cap may have mixed reviews, the cap I received actually arrived in great condition and did not rip (as others experienced). Perhaps the manufacturing on a few of the products was off. I like how the cap has the plastic exterior, but on the inside a “towel” like lining. It fits snug around my head, although at times, when I don’t put it on right, it’s a bit too tight. In terms of price, it is on the higher end of shower caps, definitely could be a bit cheaper for what it actually is. Overall, I am satisfied!

I would give this zero stars if I could. DON'T BUY IT! This is my second Drybar shower cap because the first one grew mildew and I thought I did something wrong. So I bought a second one. Somehow, the design of this cap allows water into the interior of the cap (which is terrycloth) and it takes a long time to dry (about 3 days). And if it doesn't dry, then mildrew grows and it's gross. It also doesn't keep your hair dry.

It keeps your hair absolutely dry and yet it is comfortable-The edge that touches your face is soft and does not leave any mark on your face even though it fits tight enough to not allow any water in-but not uncomfortably tight. The outside is a soft waterproof material (plastic-like), that does not feel like your usual plastic-it's very soft and quiet (you'll know what I mean by quiet when you touch it). I bought 2 different kinds of shower caps-this one and another brand--after trying them both on, I used the Drybar cap and seeing how nice it was, I returned the other one and then bought two more of the Drybar caps. I am very happy with it and highly recommend it.

I love this shower cap. After trying the Betty Dain Socialite, which was painfully tight, this one is a pleasure. The terry lining and soft plastic makes it quiet and comfortable while you're showering. Keeps the water out. Yes, the terry lining makes it take longer to dry, but I just pat the plastic dry with my towel and then lay the shower cap over a floor vent. Just be careful not to put it over a heating vent or you will melt the plastic. If you don't have a floor vent, just pop it in the dryer for a few minutes on a NO HEAT setting and it should be fine. Or hang it outside in the sun. I cannot vouch for it's longevity since I've only had it a few weeks, but so far, I love it. I'm buying two more for backups. Because usually when I find something I love, it gets discontinued!

This is great for long hair and it stops the humidity, hence no frizzy hair!
