She is a first year player and her best friend is a 3rd year player
This was a gift for my daughter. She is a first year player and her best friend is a 3rd year player. This is the first thing they can play together and ne on their level f at the same time. This is a wonderful tool for encouraging her love of music and bonding with a friend. Win win!

Not recommended
The easy part for student is boring and not the melody. I would prefer my student to play a simple melody and I play a harder accompaniment. I would not recommend this book.

Very impressed with this duet book
As a clarinet teacher, I wanted something interesting and simple enough for two adult grade1/2 to learn and have fun together (both are over 60) They love the music and are so keen that their clarion pitch has improved immensely. Each student is learning both parts and every 4 weeks they have an hour's lesson together. A perfect book to inspire students of all ages who enjoy classics.

Disappointed.
Very disappointed with this book considering the encouraging write up about it. It was far more of a contrast in ability than I was expecting. Found the very easy part too easy, repetitive and monotonous even for a beginner and the intermediate part too difficult for a beginner. I suppose it depends what you're looking for but I wasn't enthused by it. Sorry!
