Everything fit perfect. It would of been nice if the gasket was shipped flat rather than folded.

Easy to install if you know what your doing … this isnt a entry level unit . Need some mechanic know how to install .. love this kit great cheap repair and got customer back cutting grass in no time

Everything working so far, has been a couple weeks. Looks like a well made camshaft (and the compression release mechanism, which is what eventually breaks on these Briggs and Stratton engines,) seems to be well made also. Great price.

Product was promptly received and in good shape. Read some reviews stating gasket was crumpled up. Was no concern to me. Worked just fine. Some people want the same quality of oem for the same price as after market. Get real. To me the cam was almost identical to the oem that fell apart. I say this is more of a design problem with B&S than Carhub following their design (mainly talking about the compression release on the cam) . I order after market products at my own risk because of cost. I find most things are very acceptable such as this camshaft. Am happy with the order. But just put it in without a lot of testing or running. So far it works great.

So, obviously, we're looking at this product because the compression release mechanism on our B&S engine broke. Okay, fine. This kit has almost everything we need to get back to mowing our lawns, minus the rocker arm cover gasket. Reviews are mixed, but the price seems worth the risk.All parts install like exactly like they're supposed to. Everything seems right, I'm feeling good about it. Reinstall engine and... nope. Same exact problem, starter cannot overcome compression = compression release not working.Go and order the OEM at more than twice and, at the time, two weeks out. Part come in, engine comes out again, remove the Carhub cam and it is pristine. Looks brand new, and identical to the OEM. It simply didn't work. Pop in the OEM, everything back together, vroom. Nice!Long story short, it's worth the extra cost to do it once. I used the Carhub gasket and seals, so did not try to return the cam as it was part of a kit.

Straightforward repair. Parts fit and look fine machine started and ran then stored for winter so no idea as to how long they will last. So only 4 stars

The same cheap rubbish you can buy for half the price. Decompression pin is manufactured too small and flops around just ready to break off.

Looked identical to OEM. Easy to change. After replacing engine started just like new.

Great and both shaft ends measure the same unlike another guy's I bought for $42.95 and would not fit in the engine base (not saying name and won't buy from again). Highly recommended for the little extra price of $83.99 works great.
