Good, solid book on RMAN recipes.
This is good, solid book on RMAN recipes. My main gripe is with the recipe approach. However, the topics covered were likely to capture most scenarios a DBA may encounter.A recipe approach leaves the theory as an after-thought. Kuhn attempts to remedy this by presenting a general overview in the first chapter, and by explaining how each recipe works.Reading this book allowed me to pick up some useful pointers, and some capabilities of RMAN that I had not known about.

More of a beginners guide - wanted something more 'advanced'
Too generic for me. Wanted more '12 new items ' really.Worst thing of all, kept referring to recipe numbers with no easy way to say/find what they were talking about.Useful, not basic day 1 type, info could have been put in maybe 30 pages or less.If you are an experienced dba I wouldnt buy. If you have a year ir so experience would be ok for you.

Awesome problem solving approach...
This book approach is really amazing i.e. problem solution approach. This book answers everything What, why, when and how. Paper quality is ok, not very high quality, but it's ok for use. Any save trees.
