Ayurvedic Oil Pulling Mouthwash w/Neem & Clove, Cinnamon, 8oz

I usually don't write reviews for things, although they do influence if I will buy an item. But for this I had to. Periodontal disease runs in my family. I've always been a frequent visitor to the dentist and periodontist, either getting root planning and scaling, DEEP DEEP pockets (7+), crown lengthening, gum grafting, gum surgery twice, two root canals..... I'm saying all this so you know what I was dealing with before I bought this oil. My dentists never tried to help me other than bi-monthly cleanings and suggesting I may need implants. They always make me feel embarrassed and bad. No matter what I did nothing helped. Believe it or not I was being very deligent in flossing, brushing, etc, but to no avail. THEN........ (drum roll) While looking thru amazon for some random item, oil pulling pops up. I had never heard of it. Being nosy, I checked it out. After reading the rave reviews and doing my own research online, I figured it couldn't hurt. And boy was I right. Best $15 I've spent. My gums have stopped bleeding, no more dry mouth issues, tooth sensitivity has diminished, my breath is fresher. I didn't tell my periodontist I was oil pulling, so when I went in for my cleaning, he was shocked. After pulling for 1 month (2 times a day @10-20 mins each), pockets that were 7+ are now down to 3 and 4. My gums look healthier and have tightened up. I'm not sure what the mechanics are as to how and why this works, but it does! I just ordered another few bottles. People have complained about the taste or gagging, but when I weighed that against losing my teeth, guess which won. The taste is like a cinnamon candy but you're so busy swishing you aren't really tasting it. To help kill time, I oil pull as I'm doing other things, in the shower, cleaning up, watching tv, etc. So stop reading this and go order yours now. You won't be disappointed.

I have written a review for this product before.... but I must give another review. 1st of all....I love this product! I have been using it for a couple of years now and my dentist is very impressed with my healthy gums and teeth! 2nd of all...I want to speak about the integrity of this company. There was a mix up with the postage and it had been sometime before I received my package.. This company remedied it by making sure that I not only got my product....but also included a nice note of apology and some extra little gifts. That was a very classy act! And I am grateful! THANK YOU DALE AUDREY!

Awesome for fresh breath and calming inflamed gums! I use this rinse twice per day to help with some gum inflammation. It has definitely helped. The cinnamon flavor is natural and very pleasing. Your breath will be like flowers or plants, or spices? In other words, fresh! fresh! exciting! so exciting to my gums! I use it for longer than 30 seconds. Usually, I will rinse for 3-5 minutes for a deeper "cleanse" for my mouth. It works quickly and with no weird aftertaste or alcohol sensation. I tend to get canker sores and this product has reduced the frequency quite a bit. I also take Lysine at times, so that is a factor. Price? ahh, what do we say? Why does every good product, especially health and beauty aids, have to be overpriced? This is no exception...for the price maybe a 12 or 16 oz size would be better, instead of the only 8oz. version. 100% chemical-free is great! That adds to the appeal, despite the price. I would highly recommend it, especially to help calm gums.

I don't know if I buy into the whole Ayurvedic "cleansing/detoxing" thing with oil pulling, but I was interested in the possible oral health effects of it. I tried it on my own with some unrefined virgin coconut oil and seconds after putting it in my mouth, I was gagging. Couldn't even last 10 seconds of swishing before I had to stop. It was a miserable experience and the thought of trying again scared me. Still, I was interested in the concept and somehow, Amazon put this product on my radar. After reading some of the reviews, I decided I'd give it a shot, but if it made me gag, I would send it back and be done with the whole oil-pulling experiment. I expected that this would have me gagging just like the coconut oil. Instead, it was a very nice cinnamon flavor - kind of like a cross between red hots, Big Red chewing gum and Close Up toothpaste (three things that I LOVE) - and I happily swished for about 30 seconds before my jaw got tired. For me, 30 seconds was more than enough - I followed up with a good brushing and WOW, my mouth felt clean and fresh all day. Even after eating. Since I bought it, I've managed to work up to about a minute and a half of swishing, but really, I don't see the need of going any longer than that. I'm not sure if it truly will improve my oral health or not, but I'm pleased with how clean my mouth feels and how fresh my breath tastes from using this product. Food doesn't seem to get as stuck between my teeth since using this (I'm an avid popcorn eater, I often deal with kernels getting stuck between my teeth!) and my flossing seems to go a lot quicker and cleaner. I'm very impressed with this and am quite happy to add this to my regular oral hygiene habit.

Great product. I find it very soothing to my gums, and helpful in keeping plaque in check. That, and great taste and fresh breath. I have made many repeat purchases, and am so happy with the new dispensing cap; so much easier to pour and measure!

I gave this 3 stars because I can't decide how much I like this product. My gum health seems to be the same after a few weeks of use, although certainly it hasn't gotten any worse. My mouth doesn't feel fresh like it does when I use a minty mouthwash. I must say the oily texture of the product grosses me out - I have a hard time enduring even the minimum 30 seconds of rinsing time. I guess it's just something I need to get used to. I'm also not crazy about the flavor - the cinnamon is OK but the flavor of one of the other ingredients (no clue which one) gives the product an odd taste. I'm inexperienced with oil pulling and this is my first time using such a product. I'm going to finish the bottle and hope for the best, and in the mean time I hope I'll get used to the flavor and oily mouth-feel.

Holy crap, this stuff really works. My wisdom tooth is coming in on the upper right quadrant of my mouth, and it's so painful. It actually inflamed that whole side of my gums, and brushing, even lightly, felt like fire. I coincidentally had purchased this oil for my husband, who has a broken tooth. I swished with this oil for about four minutes (wow, it tastes good! Like cinnamon candy, but not as sweet). The pain was GONE. I swished with this one or two times a day over the course of three days. No more swelling, no more infection, no more PAIN. I'm sold! I had been using another brand before that cost over $20. I had been trying that one out with my pain, but it didn't work. So glad I found this better oil, and thank goodness it's cheaper, oh my god. Oh, and be sure to spit the oil into the trash or toilet. Over time it will clog your sink, so don't spit it into the sink!

I tried making my own, I buy the other brand names, sometimes you get the great formula sometimes you don’t. I was so pleasantly surprised the first time I’ve using this product, it’s fantastic. It blows all the competition away . I highly recommend!! Formula has been consistent in flavor and effectiveness , it is the best oil pull I’ve ever experienced!!

I have used their mint oil pulling product without issue but this one has a quality control issue as it’s left my tongue swollen, irritated and burnt the underside of my tongue leaving nasty ulcers. I’ve never had any problems like this before and won’t be using it again after that as it’s destined for the bin.

I broke out in red patches of hives down my neck and chest, it was hot to the touch. It scares me so much! With I. Seconds I was watching it climb up my neck to my face I had ordered two boxes and can not use them.
