Great alternative to a concrete base
I’ve been using this pad for our hot tub for almost 6 months now, and it works great. It’s a solid, reliable solution — and a much more affordable option compared to pouring a concrete base. Highly recommend it if you’re looking to save money without compromising stability.

Easy enough to assemble works great
This goes together pretty easy, I must have the new connectors because I had no issues getting them in place or screwing them down. My advice is to assemble it vertically against a wall and have someone hold it up while you put it together, then carefully lower it down while supporting the middle. Overall it seems nice and supports our tub well. We like that it smoothes out the roughness of our gravel pad and made tub delivery easy, we didnt have to worry about the cart the tub came on moving our gravel and making it not level. The biggest complaint is the price... way too expensive for 6 planks of plastic, but it is still like 300 cheaper than anywhere else so I guess I can't complain too much. Overall, I would buy again, but the price would hurt just as much as the first time...

Use a pair of studs to flip it.
Dead easy to assemble, but seeing as you have to attach the ‘dog bone’ attachments with the pad upside down can create a problem when you flip it right side up. This action places severe strain on the joints & reviewers have complained of them failing. The way to overcome this is to slide a pair of 2x4s underneath the middle of the panels and lift with the wood, not the panels. Once vertical and in place to let down, simply switch the 2x4s to the other side to gently let it down and slide the studs out. Two person job!

Concrete Alternative for Hot Tub
Great alternative to expensive concrete. Easy to assemble. Like other reviews. Dug out a 10 x 10 level area, added sand, then small stone. Bordered it with timbers. Haven’t move the hot tub on it yet, but so far happy with the purchase and the overall look.

The dog bone connectors are crap, buyer beware
As numerous reviews have pointed out, and I was naive to think it wouldn’t happen to me, the dog bone connectors are subpar. They fail to properly connect the pads, popping out with the slightest movement. I invested an extra $30 in metal brackets and hardware, securing them over the dog bone connectors along the edges, and that did the trick. After this additional labor, I managed to lift the 8x8 pad and flip it over into position. Given the poor molding/fit of the connectors, I am hopeful, if not skeptical, that this thing will somehow hold the weight of a fully loaded hot tub on clay soil. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to find out for a few more months when I get a tub. Buyer beware! The instructions do mention that the connectors aren’t necessary, and the pads can simply be laid next to each other. However, I preferred to go the extra mile and ensure they’re connected.

Great product
Put these down on prepared level ground for our hot tub. No issues and had hole drilled thru it for electrical with no issues. Hot tub filled weighs over 1,500 pds Very solid and secure. When you go to put these down I suggest you put it down with the connectors attached and just walk on it to secure the connectors as it is impossible to flip over without the connectors coming off also I put large framing nails around the pad against it not thru it to keep the pad from moving when you put your hot tub on it then remove them when your hot tub is in place.
