As other reviewers have said, this cinnamon has no aroma out of the package, even holding it up to your nose or breaking it into pieces (which is very easy to do). Apparently, that's how it should be. When you cook with it however, the aroma comes out and the flavor is wonderful. It's *nothing* like the cinnamon typically found in the grocery store. In fact, I don't care for cinnamon - the cinnamon I'm used to has a strong 'bite' that I don't like, but after reading about this type of 'real' cinnamon I decided to give it a try. I wasn't disappointed at all and have ordered a larger bag of it. I've been experimenting with some Mexican dishes that called for "Mexican cinnamon", or "real cinnamon" and this is it. So far I've made horchata and flan with it, and it's delicious. Of course, the longer it steeps in a hot liquid the more flavor you'll get. I think I'm hooked on it, and am looking for more recipes that I can use it in. If you're expecting or wanting the same flavor, 'bite' or aroma you find in the cinnamon commonly sold in U.S. grocery stores, this isn't for you.

It's the same thing as wine; you can tell a good one from a Great one by the price 😉 This is NOT $0.99 an ounce cinnamon from the grocery store, it's the best I've had. It's thin like parchment paper and you have to grind it ONE direction.

It's came o right time when I was running out of my regular one. This has less taste of cinnamon than regular cinnamon. I haven't seen any results of weight loss yet. It has been almost a month

Second time I've purchased these. I bought them because they're organic. Quality is good. Quantity is decent - bought the 3oz pack. Some small broken pieces, but given that real Ceylon cinnamon is naturally flaky, it's to be expected. They are fresh - 2 years left. We love using these for making masala chai, especially when we're feeling under the weather - the ginger and cinnamon are good for health.

There is a lot to know about cinnamon. The best and safest medically, in my opinion, is Sri Lankan (Ceylon) stick form. It's far less likely to be adulterated with lead as many choices are, and it doesn't contain coumarin, except maybe in trace amounts 0.004% by weight. The two other types, and any ground cinnamon (a blend?) can contain up to 8% coumarin. Moral? Don't buy supermarket brands, even the supposed gourmet ones, at exorbitant prices. Also learn what the sticks should look like, to determine what they are, when the package doesn't identify them. That's why I bought these. Pure Ceylon sticks, the right color and appearance, and the milder flavor. Grind it yourself.

such a small quantity and does not smell as fresh product. dissappointed

Very disappointed in my small quantity I received today ,that's almost 60 cents per stick and for that price I could have went to a bulk food store and bought some organic ones. I had tried on the seller's website and do Amazon to get it rough idea how many were in the package but was told it goes by weight. They don't know how many sticks are in each one but I couldn't get a roundabout number. If I knew it was only going to be 17, I would have ordered from someone else. Last time I bought some about 2 years ago I believe there was 100 in a pkg., organic Ceylon cinnamon sticks.They were out and the remark was that they didn't know when they would be back in stock so I had to pick something else. I will not buy anymore of these, they will last me maybe 2 weeks that's it. ☹

Sometimes i chew these sticks sometimws boil in pot brewed tea. Long sticks, centers of sticks were decent not shriveled bark, taste was sweet but not as sweet as i would like. Outer was light colour not dark. The darker stuff is not ceylon. Cant recall how many exactly as i finished the pack but 8 x 7icnh sticks. Which is double the length of the schwartz bottle cinnamon sticks. Would i buy it again? Yes. Why? Well its the right colour to be ceylon, its flavour is good, decent quantity comparatively speaking. Price is meh.

Smells lovely and tastes good to make a cup of tea. Good quality and good value for money

Handy to get these on Amazon when shops were out, paid a little more than usual but needed them so cant complain.
