Takes the shedding undercoat right off
Gave this as a gift to my friend who has a Blue Heeler. This works really great to remove the shedding hair. Pretty amazing, compared to anything else, really.First time he used it he said he took off enough fur to make another dog! I have an older Furminator comb, and really admire the improved design of this one where they covered the ends of the blade. It's much safer and keeps you from accidentally scratching your dog's skin.

The best dog brush I've owned
I used one my neighbor has and it worked great. I thought it was a little pricey so I waited a bit to get one for our pup. We have one now and it is worth the price. We don't see as much hair on the floor between vacuuming and our pup's coat looks great.

This brush was introduced to me by a lady passing by who noticed we have such a hairy dog. This brush is amazing . It takes out so much fur from my chow chow puppy. And she is so happy it does not hurt at all. Plus it has a hair released from the brush. You don’t have to pull the hair out of the brush. Perfect!!!

Best deshedding tool
Love how easy it is to use! Used one of my friends while staying at her home in Florida. Fell in love with this product. My dog is a Basset Hound & sheds a lot! This helps so much!!!

Works well
I have long been a fan of the Furminator product line. I have had several and have purchased them for family and friends. They work well. There are other de-shedding tools that are much simpler in design and work far better and are easier on your pet in my opinion. I think that it is much a personal choice decision and would depend on your specific needs and the pet you with which you would be using Furminator Undercoat deShedding Tool on.The Furminator is well made and is sturdy. When the comb is full of hair, the simple push of the button on top allows one to easily removal the hair from the tool. The same mechanism that releases the hair also acts as a shield to protect the comb when it is not in use. Note that the Furminator Undercoat deShedding Tool DOES NOT cut any hair. It simply removes loose hair and helps to untangle matting.I gave it 4 stars because it is a good product. I just think that there are better choices.

Lives up to its name
Product was a little pricy, works great, definitely gets the undercoat. Recommend for sure!

It works perfectly, we have a beagle, and I was shocked with the amount of undercoat I took out of her the first time I used this. Definitely worth the money.

Works great to remove dead hair under dog's coat
I got this to use on my wire-haired dachshunds and it works as described. Removing/stripping their undercoat is important and this does the trick. After the undercoat is stripped it is much easier to groom them with regular clippers. I highly recommend this device!
