I have three of these for opening and closing screen doors and like them. Features of foot button to keep door open and simple push on the door to release the stop to close the door is good. The installation instructions are clear except one item. The instructions say the bracket mounted on the door jam should be 1/4 inch from the screen door. However the instructions don't say to check the pneumatic cylinder clearance to the main door. The cylinder extends beyond the bracket and will interfere with screen door closing.

Door opens easily and closes fairly smoothly - much better than it used to with the closer it replaced. Based on user comments I expected a very gentle, even close with no pauses or stops. I get pauses and almost-stops but they're not bad and the closer lets the door shut completely, something the other closer did not do. The hold feature works fine and installation was straightforward. I'd buy it again.

A very nice door closer. Has push button to hold it open when needed. Very little resistance when opening the door (noticably less resistance than previous closer). Does close the storm door allowing it to latch. Very convenient for controlling door

The closer seems to be solid although I just installed it but the screws are terrible. First of all one of the small screws was not formed correctly and was just a sort shaft with a Philipps head. Luckily I had a better replacement but check the parts before you start the install. My bigger gripe with the screws is that they are a very poor grade of stainless steel which means they will rust within a year. If you can pick it up with a magnet it is not a good grade of SS. Here in Florida it takes no time for them to show rust so if you are in an area like FL you should consider replacing them from the start.

Awesome! Replaced the original that came with our Anderson bottom closing storm door. Why you ask? Because an AMAZON delivery person decided to put a parcel in-between our storm door and main door, which caused the wind to grab the storm door and rip it open, which caused the closure to lock and get bent. At least we were able to find a decently priced replacement. I guess it is a shame on you Amazon and then a thank you Amazon.

I bought for security screen door and the mounting bracket is made to mount horizontal so it was to wide to fit where it would normally go. Had to modify the door frame a bit but worth it in the end

Works great, my screen door seems a little lighter, closes without slamming. The Sandstone colour is slightly different, but hardy noticeable.

This item was, in my terms was expensive, however the quality is very good. Installation was very easy (instructions were great). It works great. So, in the end it may have cost more than I liked but it is worth the extra spent..
