I hate the tiny plug
I pour a small amount on a ceramic dish and heat in the microwave oven for ~20 s. I then apply and rub this on my scalp with a cotton ball. It feels good. The oil is an orangish yellow. I don't quite know how to describe the smell. There's no predominant distinct smell. It's not offensive but it's also not a smell that you'd say is "wonderful" or "lovable".What I don't like about this is the container closure. It has a plug with 2 parts - one plugs the main hole (where the liquid comes out) and another smaller-diameter plug for the tiny hole. That plug is difficult to put back in. I suppose other people just leave the plug out but I don't. It's fine when you keep the bottle upright all the time. If the bottle tips a little or topples over, then you're going to get oil up on top which could be pretty messy when you remove the cap. That plug makes it not so convenient to use this oil. It would have been easier to use if the manufacturer just used a pump bottle, the kind used for serums and oil.

This stuff is the real deal
I was a little skeptical when I ordered this. I do have an issue with dry scalp. I think I get it from both of my parents. As a kid I would have a good amount of dandruff and being black you know it stands out. It helped when I used hair grease/ dressing. But this stuff... it works.. It goes on nice and smooth and it smells great. Since this Quarantine thing I've purposely have not cut my hair. I've found that I need to wash it every couple of days along with the beard I have. Once I put this on.. I'm good. I've even tried mixing it with my wave hair grease and it works phenomenally together. This oil helps break down the stiffness of the wave grease and helps me apply it more evenly. Thumbs up on this purchase.ProsNice amountSmells GreatGoes on nice and smoothGood to mix with hair greaseConsJust a little bit pricey but it's well worth it.

Scalp treatment for itchiness and dandruff
I'm new to the Blue Nectar brand and Ayurvedic ointments, but am always interested in scalp treatments. This scalp oil comes well packaged with an additional plug to keep the oil from spilling during transit. I applied the oil after I showered and massaged it into my scalp. It doesn't feel greasy or oily and has a strong scent. I haven't decided if I like the scent -- tea tree and other herbs. I do like the way the oil feels on my scalp, it tingles slightly but caused no irritation or redness or sensitivity. I hope that several treatments help to relieve the slight itchiness and dandruff.

Ayurvedic oil for scalp and hair
This ayurvedic oil is a composition of different healing oils: Tea Tree, Bhringraj, Amla, Neem. These herbs/oils are native to India. I use Amla for my hair after hair coloring. Need is known for its healing properties and has a very strong scent which is an acquired taste. I love the scent, but I cam e across some people who do not like it at all, so I typically use it only when I am at home and I know I can wash it off, if needed.

Happy with this
This really does work. I am not a fan of the smell. It is not a bad smell just one I don't like much. I parted my daughters hair in sections and worked this into her scalp. We left in on a couple hours because it has been sore and really itchy and more flakes then normal. My daughter has coarse thick hair. Not only did this help her scalp but it helped her hair soften and the curl relaxed. She is very happy with the way her hair looks and feels.

No Hair Growth
Nice smelling hair oil, but no visible benefits. It doesn't help dandruff, doesn't alleviate itching, doesn't promote hair growth.

A must have for itchy scalp!
I don't suffer from dandruff but I am plagued by an itchy scalp that gets worse during monsoons. I had tried pure neem oil earlier and while it definitely improved the itchiness, the stink was unbearable! As a result, I had to choose between smelly hair or itchy scalp! Not a choice you want to make!!! It is at such a crossroad that I chanced upon this oil. And thank god for that! No more smelly hair and no more itchy scalp! Hurray!Since I am completely averse to chemicals and anything remotely synthetic, my first move was to read the exhaustive ingredient list. ALL the ingredients are natural and that immediately won me over. One can see neem oil in the list but the proportion is enough to make a difference without getting the stench on to your hair. Neem oil acts as a natural preservative to prevent spoilage and is also a great anti fungal & anti bacterial agent and is a must for conditions such as dandruff and itchy scalp. Just that you can't use it singularly as it reeks!Despite having lavender oil, it is not prominent owing to the addition of other herbs and oils. It's not a mild smell so you don't want to go to office with this on! Yet it is not strong enough to give you a headache. I am particularly fond of the smell of this oil. Hard to describe it other than it smells natural and herbal. The oil is easy to apply and is reasonably non greasy (well, as much as oil can possibly be).I leave it overnight and wash it off in the morning. My itchiness vanishes when the oil is on the scalp but resurfaces after the wash but overall the itchiness has decreased in intensity after a fortnight of use which prompts me to believe the oil is working its magic and an itch free scalp may not be a dream after all!Totally recommend this oil but you'll need to be patient to see effects.
