Birthday surprise gift
My aunt is really into pirates they do a lot of events where she lives at in fernandina beach florida and I was searching and searching for a good hat to send her and couldn’t find one then found this one and made it as a surprise to her and she absolutely loves the hat and can’t wait to add her own unique style to it

Not blood red. Not red.
I love the hat now that I have used fabric paint to change the color. It was very purple. Nothing blood red about it. Comfortable and well made for a costume hat. Love it now that I changed the color and added some feathers and pendants. I decided to just paint it black to cover the purple.

Too large for a typical womens head
This hat looked good but was too big. It does have a band on the inside to adjust but also heavy. Mine came with a crease I could not get out on one brim. It’s a costume piece so I didn’t expect perfection but was a disappointed. I sent it back unworn.

Perfect
I love it! I bought this to go with my pirate costume for a renaissance festival and it's exactly as described. The color also had a sort of shiny tint to it that I really liked as well. It fit my head perfectly, and I feel like I have a relatively normal-sized head. I will definitely be using it again in the future as part of a pirate costume.

GREAT STURDY hat. BEST DEAL ON AMAZON! VERY IMPRESSED. My head is 23”. Fits comfortable with a littl room to spate. Also has velcro to adjust smaller. REALLY IMPRESSED!!!!

The color is great (kind of a reddish brown with some shimmery texture), and the hat has a wire running through the brim so it's easy to shape. I found that it fits well, I read some people thought it fit too large. I'm female and have a "normal" sized head and this hat fits just fine. It doesn't feel flimsy or cheap. I think it will come with me on many pirate adventures ;)

If You Want to Be a Scallywag
If you want to be a scallywag, this hat should meet the challenge. I liked the quality for the price. The hat fits a large head. I had purchased it for myself, but the size was far too large for me. However, I gave it to a tall guy to wear to a pirate party we were having, and it looked great on him.
