Let the Whole Earth Sing Praise

This book has a great whimsical feel to it... but it's very basic. I bought it as it was part of my daughter's homeschool curriculum. Not long after purchase (before the book arrived actually), I saw the exact same book at a local discount/overstock store for $2.99!! I flipped through it and it's mostly just illustrations and I couldn't believe how much I paid online for it! I contacted Amazon for a refund, which they applied with no hassle. It's a nice, simple book... but I would not recommend paying a high price.

I am a long-time lover of Tomie de Paola books, so I may be a bit biased ;but this one is like a sacred invitation to the simplicity and beauty of the natural world. I bought it for my grandson, aged 5, and I am finding myself wanting to read it over and over again. Tomie de Paola signs his name with a heart and this is a heart-centered book.It is inspired by Old Testament scripture and the simply colorful art work from the Otami of Puebla, Mexico. It sings praises to Creation but I think Evolutionists would enjoy it as well. In my mind, it brings the two schools of thought together. If you happen to be a teacher, it lends itself to lesson plans in an inspiring, open-ended way.

Such a beautiful book and a great message. They are not the illustrations we see so often in his books, but a different interpretation. A gem!

This book is a slight departure for the incredible Tomie DePaola, but in my opinion it's just lovely.The art is warm and cheerful and inviting. It's simple, which corresponds nicely with the message which is also simple. The genius of both lies in the rich simplicity. Let all the Earth sing praise! This is, far and away, my favorite religious book for children.

Tommy dePaola is a master at story telling and our daughter just loved all of his work as she was going from cradle to first grade and beyond. I had friends that just had a baby, and bought this as a gift that would be treasured over time.The words are simple enough for a wide range of ages and the art work is absolutely fantastic and age-appropriate. I highly recommend any of Tommy's books for young children and the parents should read from these books every single night for many years.

Beautiful book with a wonderful message. Great art by Tomie de Paola and the verses from Scripture were captured in the art of the book. Lovely book to teach children about how God created the beauty of our earth for us to enjoy and take care of.

It's a beautiful book but the illustrations are not quite up to par as far as his other childrens books. We love the words and how large they are though and my near two year old loves saying "God" when she sees it in red letters. Would still recommend purchasing just be prepared for less than great pictures (though the colors are nice).

This book is so beautiful I want to take out the pages and hang them on my wall!! The simple words of praise to God for his glorious creation are magnified in the somehow enchanting paintings. We love it as much as our three-year-old!
