The Green Ring Conspiracy (Adventures in Odyssey) Audio CD – CD, March 1, 2011

I ordered this for my little brother and he basically had it on repeat - he could probably quote the entire thing! The strong points are as follows:1) very clean especially given the subject matter. The heroes are trying to discover a counterfeiter ring "Green Ring" and one generally expects much swearing and violence. While there are several scenes with high peril and a very exciting climax it stays completely clean. Both young children and adults will enjoy this.2) great themes. The subject of trust is viewed at multiple angles from a deeply Christian perspective. From trusting people to trusting God. It also offered direct advice on how to choose who to trust.3) great characters. The heroes of the story are skillfully handled with distinct voices to make it easier on the audience when identifying them - particularly in a scene change. Most characters are fleshed out quite fully and those that aren't generally have very punny, descriptive names. Many of the characters have great little quirks that add to their personality and some of them directly effect the plot. Great foreshadowing!4) the humor!!!! They very carefully insert it keeping the overall mood relatively light which balances out the peril - very necessary for the younger audience. As mentioned earlier, it is very clean.The first time you listen to it, you might want to make sure you are not driving - it is riveting and may discreet you from the road!The only problem we encountered was the case broke - it still holds the CD's well and it was probably the family fault, but you might want to be careful about the corners and hinge. Otherwise, great product 12/10 would by again!

Bought this for the family to listen to on a long trip. It was great and we all got in to it. It made the trip go so much faster and reduced any issues of motion sickness as the kids could keep their eyes on the road.Note: Some of the Adventures in Odyssey has a lot of shorter stories, but this one is one long story so will keep the suspense for 5 hours. If you prefer shorter stories, choose one of the other dvds.Good moral lessons and lots of great humour! Will buy some more for the next long trip!

I am a huge Odyssey fan and own every album, so of course I was excited about Album 53. I loved how they had an ongoing story line since album 51 and 52 seemed disjointed. I listened to it all in one afternoon. I am really pleased with the character development and story line. It is not quite as good as Darkness Before Dawn, or Novacom, but it is still good. I finally feel like Odyssey is back to normal! There are even some old characters who come back for as a surprise. :-D

Another fantastic album by adventures in odyssey! My girls are teens and pre teens and they STILL LOVE it!

My brothers and I grew up with Adventures in Odyssey (AIO),so I decided to buy this for little brother's birthday. I didnot remember how suspenseful and exciting "The GreenRing Conspiracy" was, chalk full of cliff-hangers andsecret agent action, it was hard to not spend five hourslistening to the whole thing straight through. Some of the standard length episodes of AIO can often bepredictable, and not very exciting, but that was not the casefor this set. Though I wouldn't recommend it for youngerchildren because it could be a little scary for the under 8 group.

These Adventure in Odyssey CD's have replaced TV for my kid during the week and they haven't complained. I set out this year to make sure the TV consumption in our house decreased. I introduced my kids to Adventures in Odyssey about that same time and it was love at first listen. I feel so good about having replaced TV shows that don't always reflect our values with a radio show that enforces Godly character and engages their imaginations. Thank you Focus on the Family!!!

The whole family enjoyed listening to this CD. We actually had to sit in the car when we arrived home from our trip because the kids (ages 4 and 8) didn't want to turn off the car without knowing how it ended.

Great audio drama. Good story, lots of mystery & suspense. Bought it for my 6 year old son and he really likes it. Actually both his Dad and I really like it too. Highly recommend for road trips
