Q: I wear a 5 1/2 shoe size. Is there a way to trim the insole without cutting into the gel?

Hi Wanda. The insoles according to Dr. Scholl are supposed to go as small as size 6. Have you tried cutting them to that size and then inserting them in your shoe? I can't imagine that would cause your shoe fit to be so tight as to be uncomfortable. You may also try contacting Dr. Scholl's directly and see what they have to say. Their number is (800)558-7614. Yes. not sure how long it will last but nice now

Yes. You cut it down to your shoe size before inserting.

It's difficult to answer. I found them useless. Maybe if my shoes had been 1 or 2 sizes larger they would have fit, but as it was, I used them once, they caused multiple blisters on my feet and I trashed them!
