GMI Keepsafe 84" Wood Expansion PetShield Gate-Made in USA! Collapses to 20.5"!

Perfect solution!!! Wish we had found this before spending ALOT more on a fancier metal type (Which looks super nice but doesn’t fold well and is always in the way..) This one is easy to install (2 small brackets on one side and 2 latch hooks on the other side!), easy to extend and looks pretty good! I’m going to paint it white to match the trim. It’s actually sturdier than I thought it would be and my two 60 pound doodles stay behind it just fine with no issues (they are used to a gate being there anyways so minimal jumping if any). My absolute favorite thing is how it folds down and is not in the way. A definite winner and we are getting the smaller one also for a different doorway. Highly recommend!

I purchased this gate to use for keeping the dogs confined to a room or area of the house. It is a 'fixed' gate, meaning you cant easily move it from one room to the next, so where you install it is where it's going to live until you relocate it. So far I have been very happy with this purchase. The gate works wonderfully! I gave a 4-star for maneuverability, and this may or may not be warranted. The gate comes with a center leg and that leg has a rubber foot. In order to open/close the gate, the rubber foot does not slide well on the floor, it hangs up here and there, you have to lift up on the gate to lift the center leg off the floor to easily maneuver the gate. I happen to like this feature because I don't have to lock the gate and my dogs can't lift the gate, so it stays put where I leave it. Overall, the gate is well built, it's sturdy, and of good quality materials. It is not a cheap piece of junk. I would recommend the gate for dogs for sure. I bet it works good on kids as well, however that wasn't my intention when I bought the gate, thus I have not tested it in that capacity.

Instructions are a bit hard to understand but I’m also not super handy lol. Took me about 25mins and 20 of that was trying to understand what the directions were telling me to do. We’ve tried probably 10 different gates and this one has been the best. It fits every need we wanted. It keeps my 2 English mastiffs, Boston terrier, chihuahua, Australian shepherd, and American Staffshire from jumping on people as they come through the front door and when not in use it folds up nicely and lays flush on the wall so it’s not in the way nor is it taking up any space.

A gate for my deck

This was my last attempt to finding a gate for my staircase. My staircase bottom is very wide about 82” and all other gates were at least 6” short. This gate was the solution. Really easy to instal. Probably took me about 10 minutes because my cats ate the instructions so even with limited instructions it is easy to install. Pretty sturdy and it keeps my little one safe and away from stairs. Really great gate!!!!!!

I have a large porch and large opening and I could not find a suitable gate that wasn't flimsy or large enough. It's perfect. It wasn't easy to install. The top lock latch is difficult to use. Mostly we use the bottom closure and the dog hasn't figured it out yet. Looks great and very sturdy.

This was perfect for what I needed it for the to, separation between my den and kitchen. It pushes out of the way there’s nothing to walk over or walk-through. Love it.I did have it installed, it needs to be Attached Something solid, I had a piece of wood installed on my wall to attach it to. Mollys my work just as well.

I had trouble finding an expansion gate that was the right size for the opening to our kitchen. This one fits perfectly and allows us to keep our puppy on the hard floor (vs. carpet). I love that it folds away when not in use. Only thing of note is the bottom does have a gap of roughly 2 inches. If your dog is small enough they can slip through the bottom gap. Don't forget to puppy proof your home even when using the gate!
