Medium container holds a half pound whole beans and then some. See image attached. Appears to be airtight and I will just keep it out of the light to keep my beans as fresh as possible. The handle goes in and out smoothly with no issue. The item also is also pretty slick looking and feels like it will hold up just fine. I am happy with this purchase.

I have to tell you that this is one of the most easy to use innovative products that I have come across in years. Keeps my coffee fresh. I scoop out what I need then I plunge the handle down and evacuate all of the air - all this takes seconds. I like the smaller handled version better but this one was cheaper and I am frugal.

UPDATE: After 6 months I am very happy with this product, so much so that I ordered a second one. Unfortunately the second one arrived shattered because in their infinite wisdom, someone decided that putting a glass container in a bubble envelope would be sufficient protection for it's journey with UPS. Just dumb.Original Review: It's a nice container. Glass is thicker than expected but the quality of the moulding is just ok. You can feel variations in the thickness and a bump on the rim is clearly visible. There are no instructions or literature about either use or cleaning provided. My wife, unaware of the exact function, washed it for me and the lid did get a bit of water inside through the perforations. I was able to get it out by using centrifugal force. Overall a 3.5 - 4 star product. Price reflects that compared to more expensive name brand items in this catagory.

Luv, luv, luv this little canister! Holds about two weeks of coffee grounds, so very easy to use and the whooshing sound when pushing down on the lid confirms your product is stored airtight.

Fits nicely in the cupboard, attractive, and keeps foods fresh. I'm going to buy several more

This product is awesome but couple of weeks into use I tried to open it up, the air pressure broke the glass and the whole thing shattered in my hands. No one got hurt but I was so disappointed because I thought it’s classy and effective in keeping my coffee beans fresh!

I was going to give this a decent review, then I started thinking about it and I realized that quite a few aspects of the construction and finish are failing... First up is the "soft touch" PU coding on the plastic parts, like most products that have this coating, it fails rather quickly; at least this version doesn't become sticky, it just has low abrasion and now it has areas where it's come off. Second up is the silicone or TPU ring for sealing, it's just become ratty and although it probably holds an airtight seal, it's just kind of gross... Next are the valves, one sort of failed early and with some adjustment I think I got it to work again but you have to be very patient while pressing on the down stroke, otherwise the valve just seizes.. The glass is pretty good, but then again it's not that hard to make good glass compared to injection molding plastic.. overall, meh..

My family uses a lot of loose leaf tea, so I was excited about this product. It is the perfect size and we love that it is glass and keeps the air out. The plunger is very easy to press down, but is very difficult to pull up (and I am a 41 year old male). It takes so much force that sometimes the tea goes flying out when the plunger finally breaks free (and the container is only 1/4 full of tea). We have a stainless steel one, which is much easier to use, but I would really prefer glass as you can see thru it. Wish the manufacturer would correct!Update: I contacted the manufacturer and they replaced the plunger with one that is MUCH easier to use.

We have purchased this product before and have been very happy with it. Compared with similar containers claiming some "vacuum" nonsence this design is just reducing the volume of air (and thus oxygen) above the substance . It is done by two valves, air in and air out. And that is all. Nice and elegant. Go for it!

今まで キャットフードの保存に真空パック機を 使用していましたが ちょっと手間がかかるので こちらを購入しました。まだ 試していないので わかりませんが、蓋をして真空にするだけで 酸化防止できて 保存できるのであれば とても画期的！だと思います。

説明書も詳しく書いてないし、6月に購入してから本日初めて、容器を洗うために銀のカバーを外したところ左右が違うと思いました。販売時の写真には蓋を下げる事で、二つの穴から空気が外に出ていくイメージが描かれてますがこれだと片方しか抜けないですよね？試しに塞がってる方に指を当てながら空気抜いたらやっぱり片側からしか出てなかった。そして本当に真空なのか疑わしい。愛猫のキャットフード入れとして利用してますが、後半になると以前同様にエサが酸化してるのかであまり食べなくなります。これだと袋のまま保存してるのと何ら変わりが無くて…😅沢山の高評価ですが、本当にそうなんですかね？調べようが無いのでみなさんの銀の蓋の裏見せてほしいです。
