Compact and flexible design. Very adjustable to different phone sizes.

Works great
I love this car mount. It is very sturdy, which is important, because the Droid Turbo is a tad heavy. I tried other mounts, but they didn't hold up well to the Turbo's size and weight. This one holds it firmly, doesn't wobble and is very easy to mount and unmount. The windshield suction is amazingly stting. I also love the fact that you can easily rotate to landscape. It has nice adjustable positions. The key is sturdiness. I highly recommend this product if you have a Turbo.

Great!
Really satisfied with the product, the only thing is that it doesn't swivel which I thought it did. But even still, it works great, mounted sturdy, and is overall a great buy!

needs improvement in design...
Worked great the first time, phone was secure and looked promising. Had to use both hands, the one handed claim is for magician's with great slight of hand skills. The next time I used it the spring came out and the unit was of no value, had to send it back for a refund. Amazon was great as the refund and return process was simple and quick. Also noted it will not work with a case on it, I was using it with a bare naked phone. A little better design and it would be a perfect device.

so the phone sticks out further from the windshield than I would like. It would be great if they had a ...
I purchased this for my Droid Turbo II. It secures well to the windshield of my vehicle. I did clean the spot where I installed it and did slightly moisten the suction cup. It has been attached to my windshield for four months now and has never detached itself. It appears to be made out of some strong nylon vs. cheap hard plastic. It holds the phone well and the phone can be inserted and removed with one hand, it is easier to use with two hands, but not a big deal either way. My only complaint if you could call it that is that the arm on it is a few inches long, so the phone sticks out further from the windshield than I would like. It would be great if they had a shorter version or ship it in a manner where the extension arm could be removed and the phone mount being able to be attached directly to the suction cup mount so that it can be made more compact. Overall a great product and I would buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a windshield mount for their phone.

Does a nice job, but requires more than one hand.
The spring loaded grippers do a good job of securing the XT1254, but to advertise your phone can be secured using only one hand is a bit of a stretch. The mount is very sturdy and with 4 days use, the suction cup seems to hold a good vacuum on a smooth flat surface. It's a good thing they include a plate with 3M adhesive tape or mounting locations would be limited to just the windshield. The construction is robust and you get the feeling it is made from sturdy materials. There is one weakness, though. The socket at the end of the arm of the base that houses the ball on the back of the cradle itself is attached with a screw instead of being molded as a solid part of the arm. Perhaps this is to provide some sort of vibration dampening because the ball and socket joint isn't as solid as I would expect. If you mount the phone vertically as shown in the photos, one of the smaller grippers interferes with the power and volume buttons. If you mount it horizontally as shown, the large gripper covers the volume button. The work-around is to slide the phone up in the cradle so the bottom of the phone is flush with the bottom of the cradle with the large gripper located just below the volume button. This way none of the buttons are covered. Of course, this means the small swing-out support that would normally support the bottom edge of the phone in the vertical position is located at the top of the cradle instead of the bottom, which makes it sort of useless. Having said that, the grippers still hold the phone securely.Bottom line: this cradle is serviceable but the manufacturer did not think the orientation of the grippers and the swing-out support all the way through. If the swing-out support had been located on the opposite end of the cradle, I would have given 4 stars.

Cheap, but OK for the money if you have a small phone
This broke on me almost immediately. Does not work well for bigger phones (Droid Turbo 2). The phone holder part is cheap and falls apart. The suction base seemed to hold pretty well to my windshield though. I'll be spending the extra cash to get a RAM mount, the one I have on my motorcycle has held up for the past 4 years, in all weather conditions.

This is satisfying and simple to use
I just got a new pixel 6 pro and was concerned because I used to put my last phone in a cup holder when driving, I never have used a device such as this. It was a satisfying experience. Yesterday I used google maps with this Encased phone holder and it was extremely simple to use and did the job. I have it attached to my dash and so far have no issues with it.

Hands down the best car phone holder available
I've bought several of this model of holder. All joints are adjustable. It extends, so if you have a deep dash. Able to use only one hand to release the phone. Any power cord will fit at the bottom between holder legs.
