Fun to assemble

We love Charle Harper designed puzzles. This was the first we could not complete because the black border. We usually do the border first but found that multiple pieces fit in the same spot. We completed the interior design and struggled with fitting pieces in the border. We gave up which has only happened a couple of times to us. Passed it to my brother in law to see how he does.

We own close to 100 puzzles, and Pomegranate brand is our all time favorite. Connects well, stays together (you can lift it up without falling apart), has wonderful finish, and both box and puzzle sturdy so you can put it together again and again. The pieces are in a zip-lock bag inside the box, which is a nice detail to help keep them together.Highly recommend them!

But OMG the all black sections are so hard to do. Took more time the the entire rest of the puzzle.

Love Charley Harper puzzles. The black frame on this one was a bit challenging.

I buy these puzzles for my 83 year old Dad, who is a big Charley Harper fan. He likes the texture and thickness of the pieces, as well as their cut and shape. They are challenging puzzles but not overly frustrating. The picture quality is also great. Takes him about five days working in the afternoon or evenings, about 2 hours a day, to finish a 1,000 piece puzzle. I was buying these puzzles at Whole Earth Provision Co., but Dad completed all the ones they carried, and WEP's price was almost triple this price.

Love all things Charlie Harper and these puzzles are no exception. The gradations in color make them enjoyable to do as you reassemble the Harper creatures. If you intend to keep the assembled puzzle, to frame for example, these puzzles are not for you. The rounded edges of each piece render the whole a puzzle conglomeration, not a picture. (I never leave a puzzle assembled, so that is irrelevant to me.)

Many of the black border pieces are interchangeable so the puzzle is pretty difficult and frustrating. After trying to solve it and dismantling it twice I’ve given up; first puzzle in my life I couldn’t finish. This was a waste of time, unfortunately, as I usually love Charley Harper puzzles.

I love Charley Harper Puzzles, but I would prefer them complete.Such a disappointment.A lesson learned. I shall be back to my local bookstore for the next one.

Bought as a present & was very well received. If you enjoy art as well, this is a great choice.
