A bit expensive for a smallish jar, but definitely worth it for the aesthetically pleasing design and quality designed durability. I'll mention this Kilner jar the next time I hear the cliche "they don't make 'em like they used to".p.s.it holds about an ounce

My cat knocked one of my Kilner jars off the kitchen counter. Shattered on the hard tile floor. Checked Amazon and sure enough they sell the same brand. Was trying to find the same size as my other three to complete the set. Bought this one thinking it was the same size but it's small. Adorable, but small.

Reorganising my larder cupboard, I decided to invest in 3 litre square kilner jars to replace some very old dying plastic containers, for items I use a lot of, like flour, granulated sugar, caster sugar etc ( no awards for guessing, I love to bake) . I love them, so subsequently purchased more! Stating the obvious they are heavy, but airtight. The square shape is in my opinion the best use of space in my cupboard. I love the fact you can purchase replacement seals for them, just don't drop them! I have different sizes for different items, brown sugars, happily fit in my 2 litre size. Again they are heavy, so I need to store them on the bottom shelf of my larder corner cupboard If I was older I may possibly struggle with them so low down, but fortunately not a concern yet!!

These jars are great, for spices but also for storing baking ingredents in (e.g.edible eyes).You know they are great quality when you buy Kilner jars.Packaging was great too.
