Great product at an affordable price
Bought two of these to replace a cheap Chinese one that failed, since you can only buy them in pairs, and fancied an additional one for another room. Wish I had have done sooner, because they're so much better! The setup procedure was a doddle - everything "just works" as you'd expect, unlike the cheaper ones that have problems with 5Ghz vs. 2.4GHz networks etc. and have you fiddling about with various setup modes before they can be coaxed into life. The Google Voice integration also works flawlessly, and unlike the cheaper bulb, this one can be happily turned off at the wall and will remember its settings, reconnect to wifi and just start working again when you turn it back on. So it can be used like, you know, a normal bulb, in addition to the voice integration which is the killer feature for me. Doing this tended to trigger connectivity problems with the cheaper bulb I had. Definitely worth paying a little more for the Kasa, though they're still pretty damn reasonably priced to be fair - certainly compared to the cost of e.g. Phillips Hue when you factor in the cost of the Zigbee hub etc. if you only want a small number of bulbs. Good quality at an affordable price point, as I've come to expect from TP-Link. Very happy so far!

Best smart bulb on the market in my opinion!
I can thoroughly recommend this bulb. I found TP link products through customer reviews when I bought my TP link smart plugs. I'd been looking for a smart bulb for a while to control my downstairs light as it's not wired to be turned off from upstairs. All the ones I had seen required a bridge or hub or something similar and I didn't want to pay a tonne of money for that. So I came across this TP link bulb and figured I'd buy one when it was reduced to see what it was like. Needless to say I was completely happy when it arrived super quick and was so easy to install. I popped the plug in, opened my Kasa app (which I already had from the bulbs but it's easy to download from the app store). Then it took all of a minute to set it up and it was working through the app and my Alexa Echo and Echo dot. I can change the brightness, turn it on and off and I've set up a schedule for it to come on a certain time. No hub or bridge required. Just a WIFI connection and you're good to go. Particularly handy when I realised I'd got to work and left it on. A quick tap on the app and it was off. You do need to leave your light switch on but it uses up about 1p per month of electricity so you won't notice it being on. The only hard bit was remembering to keep the switch on! :-) Will definitely be buying more very soon for the rest of the house!

Work fine, take a bit of getting used to - good for security and waking me up
I have two of the basic dimmable B22 units. I haven't integrated them with Alexa - I just use the TP-Link Kasa app. There are quite a few things to look at when setting them up, otherwise you might find that they turn on at 1% brightness! (Click the settings cog in the app, then look at the "Default States")I plugged them in, launched the app, was asked to provide WiFi details so they could be managed, then they downloaded a firmware update. You can use a schedule for security (make people think you're in when you're not) or to wake you up. The app also works remotely, in case you feel like checking if your lights are on when you're away from home, and you can turn them off if you have.

Alexa, Let there be light…
I bought this bulb just when I started my “Smart Home” but I was having second thoughts as I was unsure if this was more reliable than a normal bulb. Well KASA smack my face! It’s simply to set everything up and it’s super reliable. It has a strong connection and it responds quick to the app or Alexa. Once I proved how good it was I bought bulbs for the rest of my place.Pro: Can schedule, you don’t need a hub, Alexa routines, bright control, easy to use, remote access.Cons: KASA is slowly disappearing from UK retailers as TAPO (the other Tp-link brand) is taking over Europe customers, leaving KASA just for AmericansOverall: Totally recommended! (Same as TAPO) you don’t need to worry if you switch it off manually or something as it connects automatically back to the wifi and you’ll be able to control it through the app or with your smart assistance in seconds.

Smart bulbs buddy
Bought 4 of these smart bulbs 3 years ago and it’s still working. Easy to install and set-up by linking it to the app given to you and can link with my Echo dot if I’m at home. You can use the brightness from 1-10 which is very helpful for me when I’m staying late at night. Very handy for me too as I can switch on the light using my mobile phone just before I reach home in the evening. Overall, highly recommended and I’m happy with my purchase 🌈😊

Great Bulb for Waking Up
Great bulb. You need to leave the wall switch on so the bulb is on “standby”. The bulb re-connects to WiFi in a matter of seconds if you accidentally turn the wall switch off or if there is a power-cut.In the Kasa app you can set the bulb to come on at 7am on weekdays (for example) and to increase brightness over 10 minutes to gently wake you up - this is a great feature and can be tweaked (more time, less bright, etc.) when you finally wake up you can turn it off in the app or even better set a schedule in the app to turn off at 7:30am daily. If you have an Echo, of course you can just ask Alexa to turn if off.At full brightness it really is quite bright, I turned the default brightness down to 75% in the app. With an Echo you can ask Alexa to turn the bulb on at whatever brightness you prefer, depending if mood/time of day. Great bulb especially paired with Echo or using a schedule in the TP-Link KASA app.

Simple straightforward to use
Easy to use and hook up to Alexa and Google.Works quickly to voice command on both.Bright and simple setup via the Kasa app.One of the better features is the ability to customise what happens after a power cut. One of the annoyances with a Hive bulb is if there is a power cut in the night, the bulbs come back on full brightness! These bulbs can be set to whatever option you choose

Great Lighting.
I use them in the living room where they are dimmed to watch TV and leave one on all night as a night lighter.

Poor durability
I bought several kasa smart bulbs and they've worked well enough, but one of them has packed it in after little over 12 months, which is very disappointing for such an expensive bulb.Availability of replacements isn't great and it makes no sense for TP Link to have two basically identical smart home lines that require seperate apps to manage with both Kasa and Tapo.
