SDA Laboratories Diphenhydramine Capsules, 25mg, 1000 Count

My wife and I often have need "Benadryl" in many years past....we came across this SDA labs version 4 years ago on Amazon.We had a senior Golden retriever with allergies and through our vets guidance, our old boy needed to use an antihistamine as well due to his itchy skin issues.Long story made short, ...we purchased the 1000 caps version of the 50mg for our Golden and they helped him so very much that we decided to try the 25 mg caps for ourselves since they could be used during the day and not make us drowsy and also for nighttime if needed.The 25mg dosage, for us, works well and so gently without the sedation effect we do not like.We use the 25mg version during day or night as needed during the damp and winter season for colds and for the pollen season of late Spring and early Summer to help keep the sinuses and chest happy.We have found that the 50mg version will make you groggy, but, the 25mg version offers just enough drying and comforting levels to work fine and without making us feel drowsy and tired.We will continue to buy this SDA brand as long as Amazon offers it. At 1000 capsules, it is going to last a long while.We chose this brand not by the low cost as a priority, but, the fact it contains the very same ingredient as Benadryl does and works just as well as Benadryl that we've used for over 30 years and which yes, ...does cost much more on a per capsule basis.We began using this SDA version of Diphenhydramine . (25 and 50Mg) back in January 2016 and we'll continue to purchase it as long as Amazon (or another retailer) sells it.

I have purchased several high-quality generic medications from this producer, and I have been pleased. This diphendydramine HCl is no exception. I prefer the capsules over the tablets now sold by the name-brand. They seem to get onboard more quickly.I buy large quantities of basic generic OTC meds because I advocate avoiding the "multi-symptom" combinations, especially for allergy, cold, and flu symptoms. They usually contain acetaminophen (Tylenol) equivalent to a single regular strength tablet per dose of the combination. That dose of acetaminophen is probably useless for most adults' pain, but it is enough to be a significant contribution to the maximum safe daily dose. People may not realize that they have already taken some acetaminophen, and with a cold or flu, they are likely to take more as directed on the Tylenol bottle. The acetaminophen in combinations can cause them to exceed the maximum recommended dose by as much as 30% without realizing it. Over time, exceeding the maximum dose of acetaminophen can cause damage to vital organs.

I've used a similar product for years (same active ingredient) to help me stay asleep and fall back to sleep if I wake up.I started with Benedryl then found a generic that was less expensive and worked well. But THIS product is even less expensive! Same ingredients, same affect. Benedryl $11 for 100, SDA Labs 1,000 for $22!BTW - I only take 1 caplet a night. Better than any sleep aid, and my doctor said its totally safe and non addictive.

I have a dog with Mast Cell Cancer and post surgery this can be used to reduce the histamine released into the body from removing mast cell tumors. It is vastly less expensive to buy it in this form and have it on hand for bee stings or other allergic reactions.

We bought the 1000 capsule bottle because I am on 3 a day, my husband 1 a day and each of our 2 dogs 1 a day because of allergies. The least expensive bottles we had been able to find were 100 for $4. I was able to get these at a much less expensive price and the expiration date will be fine until we finish using them. These work the same as the name brand.

Benedryl is well known to have the ability to stop the symptoms of allergies....But what many do not realize is there are many side effects from medications that are quelled due to this wonderful antihistamine. Moreso than others. Yes a side effect of Diphenhydramine HCl is sleepyness....so take it before bed to wake up clear headed and sans the side effects of many other nedications you may be taking. After so many years of using this allergy pill I rarely get the drowsy feeling. But, I also am free from the side effects of so many of the medications I must also take for my health. Most of all .....it does not interact or nullify the other medications efficacy

Absolutely the cheapest source of Diphenhydramine and has been for years! No need spending $10 on a bottle of 100 from the drug store.

I can take these and they won't make me sleepy as long as I don't take more than 2.
